What was ruined when it became popular

Tattoos (every focking dbag has them now)

That's a good one. And on the weirdest places like the calf. The fock is wrong with you? I hope you get ink poisoning and die.

Telephone customer service

There was a sweet spot somewhere in the 90's but now, it's let's try to figure out the right number combination to press so I can speak to a live person.

How depressing is it when you know you're talking to someone in India?

Red Lobster

I had an employee back in the day that I took to Red Lobster (we were on a road trip) and he was so taken by RL that he claimed this place is so great you can take a date to it.

He was black.

I don't do RL.

Red Lobster was great in the 80's, please believe it.

They used to serve real lobster, not big shrimp. It was before Bahama Mamas and cheddar biscuits

It’s always been overpriced and sucked. Any sane man never took a woman there for a date.

Beards

Great one.

Once upon a time a beard was a symbol of masculinity.

Now a beard is a symbol of massive soy consumption.

I can count on my hands how many times Ive been to red lobster. Would rather eat at a real seafood restaurant than that place

Well, I maintain that Red Lobster was great in the 80's.

I'd argue that all chain restaurants started off great but then became awful when they became big and expanded:

Chili's

TGIF

Ruby Tuesday

Olive Garden

At one time the food was good. Remember when it was a surprise when the staff sang happy birthday? Then it's became annoying and now of course no one does it at all.

Facebook

Amen!

It was so nice finding your friends and catching up with relatives but it's just people posting funny videos or memes or thoughts and prayers or political pieces. Just garbage and spam.
