Banking that his big out touching of Gio this weekend was a high, huh?

Can't say it's terrible at the moment. The key to selling high is waiting for an uptick, after all. Bold move.

Hill has been a huge disappointment . Still holding out hope 4 late season push but looking unlikely

Same here. Definitely not worth a first round pick, that was actually a good bet. The only place I have him is a keeper league, and he was my best RB after Foster from last year. So I'm holding, as he didn't cost me much to get. And the team keeps saying all the right things, and he did significantly out touch Gio. There's hope.

Don't recall him being called a bust , just a little over valued .

Drafted him 7th and keep waiting on the "He's built for November & December football" narrative to come to fruition. I am in a 14 team league so there is no trading him since RB's are scarce commodities at this point in the year. I just have to hope he kicks into gear.

Still potential for second half production but hes not near where he was drafted. Go through the top 10 consensus RBs tho and maybe 2-3 have panned out.

That RBBC is going to be the norm for Cincy all year. Bernard is better pass catching and makes big plays despite being smaller. Hill is the better pure runner. Bernard has also been more consistent week to week and has outpointed Hill so far this year despite having a down week last week.

Relative to his ADP, Hill has been a bust and has failed to secure the full time starter job that many predicted he would.

Edit: Everyone should go to Rotoworld and check their stats. Hill has been a bust starter in 4 of 7 games he played.. Gio has been a viable starter for FF teams in 6 out of 7 games.

Yet there are still people who support the ludicrous and exaggerated notion of "Hill is soooooo much better than Gio in every way.". As if Gio didnt prove to use he had talent over the last few years and Hill didnt just have 8 good games.

Gio is good in the open field and makes big plays. Hill is more of a prototypical RB with a big body. Cincy probably worry Gio cant take the pounding of a 20 carry game, but still want to work him in there.

I see no reason Cincy move away from the RBBC. It's working and it keeps defenses on their toes, as both RB are quite different. All things being equal, Gio is a bargain by comparison to Hill, I think I got Gio in the 8th round of my draft. Most people were taking Hill in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Did people really say in every way? As a receiver too? That's just nuts.

You may have gotten more for him after the Cleveland game.

Hill was never 1st round material. No reason to draft him over a top WR

I recall early in the season, or predraft, people were saying Hill would secure the FT job and Gio would get very limited action.

Then Hill had a couple of fumbles early on, while Gio consistently played pretty well with limited opportunities.

I was so ecstatic when he fell to me at 2.12. I thought it was validation that the FF Gods wanted me to win.

Now im 2-6.

Thanks for nothing Jeremy Hill.

I had a similar epiphony when Luck fell to me at 2.08. Then the fantasy gods decided to crap on my spirit.

I had high hopes for Hill coming out of last season. Drafted him at #12 in one league and #16 in another. After his 3 TD outburst early in the season I traded him for D Lewis and Dez in one league and packaged him with Jordan Matthews for Jeffery and Gurley in the other. I'm pretty satisfied with the results of those trades. Sometimes you have to be quick to evaluate and be able to sell players where the perception is still based on name and draft position.

He is getting ready to start putting up sick numbers.

Dude is light years better than Gio.

I'm holding him seeing how the season is ONLY 7 games old for Cincy and the Steelers showed the blueprint for how to beat them (even if Ben ruined it for them). Hill's value will go up as the season draws on and as Red Rocket begins to get his pre-playoff case of the yips.

Sammy Hagar?

Oh, Red Rocket.

I'm hoping you are speaking the truth. But this Dalton isn't last year's Dalton. He might not cool off. Still, that could mean RB2 numbers for Hill. That's all I'm hoping for. Starting him Thursday.

If he doesn't do much Thursday, me might not this season. Overmatched opponent + horrible run defense + starting Manziel = late game carries of fantasy goodness for Hill

I'm one who was in error I'll readily admit. But if Bernard goes down, and it's been a M*A*S*H episode in the NFL this year, Hill is a top 3-4 running back. Especially getting into the cold winter months.

I'm holding.

Just moved him for Dwill. Really happy to be away from him.

I can't say that's a bad move. Only if Hill finishes this season like he did last will that turn out bad for you. And that's a steep task.

As am I. I was much higher on him than he's earned this year. But again, the year is only 1/2 over.

What we misread was the direction of the Cincy offense, as they were a running team in 2014. Granted injuries to the WRs probably drove that, but who knew with Dalton right? Bernard has also balled like a mother.

Yep, I'm a sucker. Will prolly run Hill out there Thursday night in a good matchup and cross my fingers. Only problem is its ppr and have to bench either Ivory or Woodhead.

Coaches keep saying the right things:

From Roto:

Bengals OC Hue Jackson said "the arrow is pointing up" on Jeremy Hill.

Hill has yet to break out on a per-carry basis, but he has at least 15 carries in each of the last two games against tough defensive fronts. He also out-touched Giovani Bernard 16-3 last week and played two more snaps than the passing-down back. The Cincinnati backfield will be a timeshare all season, but Hill is finally getting enough work to be in the RB2 mix. He is a must-start this week against the Browns barely-there run defense.

I just prefer to know my touches are coming each week. I think Dwill can be a top 5 upside with a relatively high floor as well.

Agreed. I have Hill, currently flexing him this week, but I'm waiting to see if I manage to get DWill as well. And if I do...I think he flexes over Hill.

WIsh me luck :)

Trading Hill before the Cleveland game is a head scratcher. Have you not seen what RB are doing to their run defense. Hill looked good last week against a tough Pitt Run D. Starting him with supreme confidence this week, plus with Johnny Quaaludes in at QB Cinci should be Running a lot in the second half.

Just looked at cle box scores, Dexter mccluster and bishop Sankey put up 140 on 22 carries vs this defense, my god

Not making a trade based on hoping for 1 game of production is short sighted. That matchup will give the Hill tradee the warm tingles...I don't care about that. I need consistent touches for the rest of the year.

....he prob will score 100/2 this week...and if he can't in this matchup then my chance at that trade was gone.

Hill is a bust thus far for sure. But I do like his chances going forward as it gets colder and teams rely more heavily on their running games.

Was offered Ty Hilton for J Hill and not sure I can pull the trigger. I need help at WR with Smith Sr going down, but do think the 2nd half looks better for Hill. Other RBs are Ingram, Blount and just got D Williams off WW

Williams and Ingram give you two good starters going forward , I'm not to sure about Hilton going forward .

How is he a bust when the weeks he hasn't had a ton of touches he's still scored TDs.

Looks like he's also winning the job back.
