dog19 2 Posted December 2, 2016 Is this the week he breaks out? All of the ingredients seem to be there. I see this game being a laugher, with the Pats way up in the 2nd half. Lewis has seen an uptick in his workload and could be in line for heavy volume in the 2nd half. I am strongly considering using him as my flex in a must win game for me. Anyone else considering rolling with him?
knight11e 10 Posted December 2, 2016 I actually just dropped him. Was holding with the hope he would separate himself from the pack, but he hasn't. When could you realistically start him? I'll let someone else take that gamble.

I'll let someone else take that gamble. I'm taking the gamble! with my team that is out of the playoffs and just playing to win the week. I wouldn't start him with a team in the playoff hunt. Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted December 2, 2016 He's interesting this week I think. And I wouldn't expect this to be a laugher for NE. Gronk is officially out and the Rams know they don't have to gameplan for him. NE needs to find some other mismatch on the field. Rams could be paying close attention to Edelman so this could be a decent time to have a heavy Dion gameplan for NE.
cyclone24 1,794 Posted December 2, 2016 Im going back and forth between him and deandre Hopkins. Not sure I can stomach seeing another 4 catches on 11 targets for 65 yards...woof.
jimaveli 119 Posted December 2, 2016 Malcolm Mitchell is the new mismatch machine. But with the Pats you just can't get too assured. Add in their defensive issues along with Brady being hindered and it's a tough go for fantasy owners hoping for patriots.
weepaws 2,451 Posted December 2, 2016 Starting him this week.
uwmalcolm 73 Posted December 3, 2016 Starting Lewis in a must win game with Murray/Henry on bye. Fingers crossed.

knight11e 10 Posted December 3, 2016 This week? Yeah? I'm not sure what info you are looking at that indicates he's going to do better than the past few weeks, but I hope he works out for those who need him.
BobSanders_33 127 Posted December 3, 2016 Yeah? I'm not sure what info you are looking at that indicates he's going to do better than the past few weeks, but I hope he works out for those who need him. I agree with you. I held him for the longest time but I don't see it coming together. The NE passing back role is a good job but not when it is split two ways.
IGotWorms 3,297 Posted December 3, 2016 This is a week for Dion. No Gronk so the offense needs a reboot

BufordT 371 Posted December 3, 2016 I watched pretty much all of the Patriot game last week. Dion Lewis looked really good to me. Showed excellent quickness and acceleration. He had 10 touches (4 receptions), I'm expecting 15+ touches this week and will be starting him with confidence. He's easily the RB to own in New England. DrG 94 Posted December 4, 2016 He is the only starting skill player right now in New England who is a home run threat. He's due for a td.
handbanana 47 Posted December 4, 2016 Lewis over Rawls, Boyd, Sanders or Cobb? Right now I have Rawls in the flex
weepaws 2,451 Posted December 4, 2016 Agree I like Lewis this weekend.
cyclone24 1,794 Posted December 4, 2016 I have dion but i dont know...seems like a blowout game where blount just beats the daylights out of them...but i dunno.
Texas10 15 Posted December 4, 2016 Struggling this week with terrible matchups, is this stupid: Dion over Ajayi....he faces Baltimore.

Hoping you're right, but expecting a blowout as well and a heavy dose of Blount down the stretch. I'm not as optimistic as you. Will figure it all out in about an hour. Runningriot1966 6 Posted December 4, 2016 If it is a blowout why would people expect Lewis to have a big game. This will be 100 yards and a td for Blount and a typical game from Lewis.
weepaws 2,451 Posted December 4, 2016 What's a typical game for Lewis. He had some good typical games last season. Feel like he will have a good game today.
Gepetto 977 Posted December 4, 2016 Dion Lewis is not going to help anyone win a fantasy championship. No way would I roster this guy.
Oriole8159 86 Posted December 4, 2016 Dion Lewis is not going to help anyone win a fantasy championship. No way would I roster this guy. I think you might be right. I've had him the whole season (drafted to my IR) and after watching today's game and seeing the tough schedule they have coming up, I just dropped him a few minutes ago to pick up Dontrelle Inman. weepaws 2,451 Posted December 4, 2016 I started him and I feel like Charlie Brown on Halloween. I got a rock.
ralphster 274 Posted December 4, 2016 Lol - after the late hype I was wondering who'd have regrets.
BufordT 371 Posted December 5, 2016 I'm neck deep in the kool aid with this guy. He still looks like good to me just needs the touches. He's my RB2 in 3 of my playoff teams (barring 5 td's and 450 yds from Luck tonight). I don't really have any other options admittedly.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted December 5, 2016 There will be weeks coming that he has better weeks. At this point he is very likely the Patriots most explosive offensive player. But you can't judge anything that anyone does against the Rams as "the norm" because that's just a pathetic team. I think even Bellicheat has some mercy for those guys. DankNuggs 305 Posted December 5, 2016 I'm a homer and I don't think he looks 100%... He's going to be tough to rely on since James White gives just about the same skillset if Lewis isn't back to last years form.

He's going to be tough to rely on since James White gives just about the same skillset if Lewis isn't back to last years form. I think this is right. He isn't playing significantly better than White so you have a 3 man committee with 2 players sharing the same role. I think Baltimore and New York are more Lewis/White games but you have to hope for a TD. Denver gets run on up the middle so that is a Blount game.
IGotWorms 3,297 Posted December 5, 2016 They're waiting to spring him in the playoffs. Although they do really like James White as well - Brady was talking about a "Super Bowl play" (I.e. clutch play) he made week before last. You don't get that kind of praise from Brady unless you've earned it. Basically I think Lewis will offer some explosive plays down the stretch but possibly too late for fantasy playoffs and a very risky start week to week with many mouths to feed in the backfield. cyclone24 1,794 Posted December 7, 2016 Here's the problem I have. I already have Brady and Mitchell is playing too good not to play him. But I also have Dion Lewis who I almost have to start this week. So not sure I want to start the three Patriots. Ugh Fock
