    FU Thread--Week 13 edition

Looks like a big FOCK YOU going out to Tyrell "I feel 100%" Williams. Thanks. Playoffs on the line. Keep up the good work.

    Is Tyrell Williams even playing?

0 targets? Is he a decoy or is he on the bench??

Yahoo - Waivers Didn't Go Through

Ours finally ran a few minutes ago.

Yahoo - Waivers Didn't Go Through

BUMP. Still waiting for our waivers to go through. Users are able to grab free agents that do not have waiver claims against them. I sent a support request to Yahoo using their online form but did not receive an email notification that they received my request. Matt Mueller - you said "pickups should be on roster by Friday" where did you see this?

    Fragile Felix

Hopefully they'll get him some Vagisil so that he can start the next game (and not finish).

    Fragile Felix

    Looks like the ankle
  7. What's the typical length of time away for this type of injury?
  8. Like that they need to get the ball into the hands of their most talented player? Will MJD continue to be an important part of the passing game if he's not having success running the ball or are they going to go back to their offensive offense now that Garard is back under center? I've stuck with MJD so far this year but it's only paid off twice.

Who is cutting bait on Steve Smith (CAR)?

Thanks for the heads up!!! He's been stashed on the bench all year, not really hurting on byes or anything. Well worth waiting a couple to see how that pans out.
  10. QB woes, offensive woes, injury woes... not the year I'd hoped for even as a reserve. Thinking about dropping him and picking up Brandon Tate now that Moss has left New England.

    First time Commish here

Comes with the territory. As long as all rules are posted - including The Constitution, then it's just something you have to deal with as Commish. There are -=ALWAYS=- whiners and malcontents in every league. One thing I did though was at the end of the year I gave out trophies. One trophy was a box of Preparation H with the label to "player X - biggest pain in the A$$ for the year"

Ok, is this crazy for week one

I can't believe I'm typing this. I'm wondering if someone slipped something in my beer when I wasn't looking. But call me crazy as well. I had the same feelings about Flacco going up against the Jets and I picked up Anderson from waivers (naturally he was available). The Rams defense is not good. They were well toward the bottom of the league in interceptions and against the pass. Granted, Anderson was GODAWFUL last year with the Browns but don't forget all the dropped passes. There were quite a few in that 2-17 game that was mentioned. But the risk/reward is worth it. The chance that Flacco puts up REALLY GOOD numbers against the Jets? Well, pretty slim. He will probably have a very mediocre game. Anderson could also have a mediocre game but there is a chance that he could put up some decent numbers. He will definitely chuck the ball and if it's anywhere near Fitzgerald he is one of the best at bringing it in and taking it home. My only other option is Ben Rohipnol Roethlisberger - obviously not an option. So I'm rolling the dice.

Why you should consider waiting on a QB

This is great info but one thing to consider is WHEN did those top QBs get drafted? There are always good sleepers to be had LATE. I drafted Shaub last year fairly late... got Cutler the year before fairly late and Romo the year before that fairly late. If you gamble and win then the payoff is huge. But if you gamble on a Jamarcus Russell... well.. well, surely no one actually drafted Jamarcus Russell. But yes, having a top QB on your roster is a wonderful thing. But it sometimes comes at a price.

    Favorable QB matchups week 1?

If you're one of those that's been drinking the Mike Martz / Jay Cutler Kook Aid then week 1 is your week going against Detroit. But I'd suggest trading him after a nice week 1. Look at Mike Martz's track record in the last several years and don't listen to the hype. With Mike Tice coming in to help the line and Forte and Chester Taylor this could have been a good ground and pound offense. But this year is sure to get Lovey fired. IMHO.

In today's QB happy drafting craze....

No worries, that post looks to have been from a LAWYER. Lawyers. I'm used to worthless smelly deposits like the one from the LAWYER because I have two large lab dogs. Let's hope I don't get a banker and a thief to slam me as well then I'd get the P.O.S hat trick. Seriously, this post was SUPPOSED to have been a statement about how QBs are going so high this year. Even in standard scoring leagues everyone seems overly preoccupied with QBs. Granted, they do score the most points but the depth of elite RBs and WRs really is no there. Especially with the RBBC, that used to only be a Shannahan thing, it is ESPECIALLY important to draft for VALUE. Anyway, I'm done with this post. I'm sure there will be a super smart rebuttal from one of them there soupy eerior smart lawyer folk but I'm just a beer swillin biker trash ridin Low life and I've spoken my piece and counted to three. Keep up the good work, and good luck everbody.
