No MLB team ever, has made it to the A/S break with 65 wins

Recommended Posts

I had never heard this before.

Not sure about 65 loses, but the Royals have 61 with 10 games to go

The Yankees took care of them in short order.

"Best team ever". Lol.

you'll have to excuse him. He's one of the bigger Red Sox jock sniffers out there.

They aren't even the best team in the division, this year.

How in the hell would they get 70 if they only have five games left?

They also started the season a week earlier this year, so they will have played close to 100 games at the break.

Doesn't change the question.

Yes they are. as nospk just posted, its the number of games they have played...their % right now is .688, lower than the Mariners and Yanks seasons.

no, but you added the Yanks in post #4, who definitely had less wins than the Mariners, but had a higher win %...so you know it doesn't mean much.

If the Crew wins one more game before the break, it will be record setting 55!

Not quite as impressive.

No way!

Brew Crew 55 wins, up 1.5 on the scrubs

MLB needs new blood in the playoffs.

Sox at 65 wins with a 4 game series at home coming up against Toronto after their 9th straight win. They have played 8 more on the road thus far than at home.

Not sure they can keep this pace, but 106 or 107 wins is not out of the question and still not winning the division. :shocking:

Tampa Bay is 48 and 44 and 16 games out of 1st

Cleveland is 50 and 41 has an 8.5 game lead in the division

68 wins. 4.5 game lead in the division

Best 3 teams in baseball are in the American League

2 of those teams will only have 1 chance to play a 5 game playoff series. Sad.

To be fair, the worst 3 teams in baseball are also in the AL. The NL is much more competitive top to bottom. Just because the top teams in the NL don't have doormats to beat up on, doesn't make them worse teams. :dunno:

Royals have lost more games before the as break than they did in all of 2015 :dunno:
