Crowder Confronts

Recommended Posts

here is a video of him with a trans women who he is now friends with and corresponds

I watched this. I think Crowder was more interested in changing someone else's mind than being open to having his mind changed. He interrupted countless times, whined that he was being interrupted, while holding the mic said if you would let me speak, he said multiple times the 2nd person brought up male brain vs female brain, but he brought it up at 5:16. Crowder was fine, good for him that he continues some kind of correspondence. I thought both the people he interviewed were well spoken and certainly understood what they were talking about.

You are correct. Crowder is armed and ready to shoot down the complete absence of logic within the SJW dogma. He invites them to change their mind, but what he is really doing is showing them how their thoughts do not stand up to scrutiny and reason.

I don't have a big problem with it, mainly because he is typically respectful, and you can challenge him without him responding with personal insults and such. He at least attempts to have a thoughtful discussion.

The lack of any understanding on the part of the SJW about how morally evil their beliefs are is pretty scary.

Who said Crowder wasn't funny?

I did, or I actually said he is not a comedian. I'll give him some credit for the Good Will Hunting spoof at the start. He had a pretty good Boston accent there, not overdone at all. I watched the first 15 minutes after that. Most of the things I have seen with him are out on the street, which have been more 1 on 1. This was more rolling stream of conscience, and I think you would have to be in on the joke on some level. So for me, not funny. Although also not a bad Adam Sandler impression as well.

alright, so I watched to the end. with out question, walking behind the counter and getting in the face of the juiceland employee is an act of aggression. he can say no over and over, but it still is. he was wrong to do that. He said that the juiceland employee committed a crime...what was the crime? as i've said in this thread, juiceland employee was out of line, but what's the crime? funny that he followed that he didn't commit a crime but he was given a notice...and said that as if it was some kind of win.

I did kind of enjoy the bob ross thing, and learned some stuff. I know almost nothing about islam. aisha...oof.

his point was that he said I will do no harm to you, I think he should have stayed on this side of the counter for more validity though. It shows though how biased the reporting on the situation was

also if I post on twitter to go slash your tires Herb or firebomb your van, that is calling to an act of violence

I will see if I can find another one I like quite frankly what got me hooked on him was the first 2 things I saw, one was a debunk of "The Newsroom" (my favorite show btw) and other was his Democratic Socialism one about Bernie

Alright, I watched better than half of The Newsroom thing.

Do you have his show where he goes off on how Robin Williams really wasn't a great psychologist from Good Will Hunting?

How about how cole trickle never could have made it in NASCAR?

Geesus. at least he admits that he is critiquing a caricature of a political commentator. But that doesn't seem to dissuade him whatsoever.

Will McAvoy also reports while stoned out of his gourd in another episode. Is he going to rip on that as a reason not to trust will McAvoy to deliver the news to us?

The whole thing makes no sense. It's a caricature. Sure it's a fact-based show but it's not a documentary for Christ's sake. there are entire characters and story lines that are made up out of thin air.

I don't know, it's entertaining I guess. But it is literally equivalent to listening to I don't know, Bill Burr criticizing Nicholson's characters speech in A Few Good Men.

Just because the actor delivering the lines does so with conviction and passion doesn't make it so. If that were the case, I've got a scathing commentary on what I heard from Optimus Prime last night.

Crowder is good for entertainment, but you cannot take him too seriously. He is short of say a Shapiro, but yards better than a Milo

a lot of the stuff is things we here spouted from the left, and its all summed up in the opening monologue of Newsroom

Freedom is the key one, yet the United States is the only country in the world with protected free speech, but you never here that.

Freedom is the key one, yet the United States is the only country in the world with protected free speech, but you never here that.

First, actually, I'm pretty sure I posted that not too long ago about England here on this board.

And second, maybe the reason Crowder resonates so much when he says that for a lot of people on the right is that do you honestly think they knew that distinction? No. Then run around spouting Toby Keith lyrics but they really have no idea the varying differences in various freedoms throughout the world's nation states.

So, I can see when they hear something like that, they think it is some fundamental truth bomb that has just now been discovered.

As to your other point. I don't know what the metric is, but there's got to be at least an X to 1 ratio of right-wing jingoism that we see and hear in TV and movies all the time. Think of virtually any movie from the 80s or after 9/11 for Pete's sake.

Then we turn around and hear it spouted from those on the right. So it works both ways.

So, like I said, entertaining to some, but not a hell of a lot different than Bill Burr ripping on some right wing caricature.

I did like The Joy of Painting skit. Got to wonder if that's going to cause him any personal blowback though.

I remember there was a editorial cartoonist from 2010 that is literally still in hiding after declaring National draw Mohammed day.

he has a Fatwa on his head

A fatwā (Arabic: فتوى‎; plural fatāwā Arabic: فتاوى‎) in the Islamic faith is a nonbinding but authoritative legal opinion or learned interpretation that the Sheikhul Islam, a qualified jurist or mufti, can give on issues pertaining to the Islamic law.[1] The person who issues a fatwā is called, in that respect, a mufti, i.e. an issuer of fatwā, from the verb أَفْتَى 'aftā = "he gave a formal legal opinion on". This is not necessarily a formal position since most Muslims argue that anyone trained in Islamic law may give an opinion (fatwā) on its teachings. If a fatwā does not break new ground, then it is simply called a ruling.[2]

An analogy might be made to the issue of legal opinions from courts in common-law systems. Fatwās generally contain the details of the scholar's reasoning, typically in response to a particular case, and are considered binding precedent by those Muslims who have bound themselves to that scholar, including future muftis; mere rulings can be compared to memorandum opinions. The primary difference between common-law opinions and fatwās, however, is that fatwās are not universally binding; as Sharia is not universally consistent and Islam is very non-hierarchical in structure, fatwās do not carry the sort of weight as that of secular common-law opinion.

Sadly, Liberals are often what they accuse their "enemies" of being. They typically engage in that behavior which they decry and exempt themselves from standards they proclaim.

They are people who like to brag about being modest.

The only standards the Left has are Double standards.

liberal bias some

I like the concept. fact checking the fact checkers. the last 2, Maxine Waters IQ and Warren native american claims were pretty funny. It is absurd that a news org would fact check those. might be interesting to see that guy debate the wapo fact checker.

Shapiro is the most coherent conservative speaker there is, you could make an argument for Peterson but I find his intellectual approach to be really stark. Crowder is more of a sensationalist, a little less disciplined that Shapiro, not quite as smart as Shapiro, but logical as hell.

If all you watch is Crowders trolling yeah I can see why someone would think that. But Crowder holds his own pretty well when he debates. A lot of people like both.

What are some good speakers that you recommend?

Oh Crowder's OK.....I put him there with Mark Dice.....Who is also ok. Dice is obviously far worse than Crowder, but both are pretty good at knowing their audience. I'm definitely a Shapiro fan.

Crowder is MILES better than Mark Dice and far more intelligent. You can tell just be the verbiage he uses when he speaks. Now Mark Dice's base is absolutely rednecks/neckbeards.

Crowder has a lot more to offer than street trolling.
