Poker Joker 7 Posted August 25, 2016 My draft is coming up for a custom league I am in. The scoring is obviously atypical from most, so I'm trying to decide how to proceed. I currently have the #6 pick out of 12 teams. Rather than try to describe the scoring method, I just copied it from the league's webpage and posted it below. This scoring applies to all players (except kickers and defense, obviously). Length of Passing TD 0-9 yds = 6 points Length of Passing TD 10-39 yds = 8 pointsLength of Passing TD 40-110 yds = 10 pointsPassing Yards 0-249 yds = 0 pointsPassing Yards 250-299 yds = 3 points Passing Yards 300-349 yds = 5 pointsPassing Yards 350-999 yds = 10 points Pass Interceptions Thrown = -1 point eachPassing/Rushing 2 Pointers = 2 points Length of Rushing/Receiving TD 0-9 yds = 6 pointsLength of Rushing/Receiving TD 10-39 yds = 8 points Length of Rushing/Receiving TD 40-110 yds = 10 points Rushing/Receiving Yards = 1 point for every 10 yards Receptions = 1 point each Fumbles = -1 point each OTHER RULES TO KNOW: Roster requires us to carry 2 QB, 4 RB, 5 WR/TE, 2 DEF, 2 K. For games, we start 1 QB, 1 DEF, 1 K, 5 RB/WR/TE. Thoughts on what I should do for my first round pick? Do I go with the typical wide receiver like ARob or Hopkins, or should I go with a QB, since they seem to benefit the most from this scoring system each year? polecatt 402 Posted August 25, 2016 I have played in some what similar scoring leagues, with the long TD bonuses. A WR like Hopkins or Robinson would be a good pick. I wouldn't pick a QB much earlier but that scoring system greatly favors running QBs. I would go with one of those, like Russel Wilson, Cam, or Tyrod Taylor.
