Groundhog 24 Posted April 22, 2009 just insert the name of the team you root for, plus whomever you desperately hope you don't get (for whatever reason). I'm a Seahawks fan so I'll start it off with: Seahawks; BJ Raji keep it reasonable though. I may not like William Moore either but he's in no danger of going off at 1.04 when he is only rated as a 2nd or perhaps 3rd rounder.
Carl Eller's Dead Liver 0 Posted April 22, 2009 I'd go ape $hit if the Vikings take Darrius Heyward-Bey at #22......too many similarities to Troy Williamson for my liking. He might turn out to be the next Tory Holt, but I'd stay away.
listen2me 23 1,541 Posted April 22, 2009 Malcolm Jenkins. Yea the Packers CBs are old, but he may not even play that position after a year or 2. We have already seen how the best CBs in the world mean nothing with a warm stick of butter up front.
MTSkiBum 1,594 Posted April 22, 2009 I'm a Seahawks fan so I'll start it off with: Seahawks; BJ Raji I think that would be a good pick. Big space eating DT's are hard to find. I have faith in the steeler's organization. They will select the right guy
Groundhog 24 Posted April 22, 2009 I think that would be a good pick. Big space eating DT's are hard to find. I have faith in the steeler's organization. They will select the right guy Don't get me wrong - he's a good player, look at the way he dominated the Senior Bowl - but I have faith in the young guys (Mebane, Bryant), and we just took two more guys for depth in free agency. The roster only holds 53 guys, and we have plenty of needs elsewhere that need addressing before I would add Raji. Related point, I hate when the talking heads go "well, you can never have too many good defensive linemen/offensive linemen/WRs/RBs/linebackers/cornerbacks" (pick one of those). Actually, you can. When your roster is fixed, you can't afford to have an embarrassment of riches at one spot and completely ignore others.
Carl Eller's Dead Liver 0 Posted April 22, 2009 I'd LMAO if the Lions selected Michael Crabtree at 1.
WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted April 22, 2009 id be upset if the Jets trade up for Mark Sanchez. I do not want to give up too many draft picks for a guy that raw with only 16 college starts. If he falls to 17, fine maybe its too good to pass up. Id also be upset if they draft the wrong WR at 17. imo that is Heyward Bey.

Four More Beers 0 Posted April 23, 2009 The shotgun goes in my mouth if the Jags pick Mark Sanchez. They have way too many more pressing needs than QB.
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted April 23, 2009 Malcolm Jenkins. Yea the Packers CBs are old, but he may not even play that position after a year or 2. We have already seen how the best CBs in the world mean nothing with a warm stick of butter up front. I do not believe it's the end of the world if they get Jenkins. I think the media is in such a hurry all the time to fit players into tidy little boxes, it's laughable. Suddenly Jenkins goes from a stud shutdown corner after 4 years of college to a NFL safety based on his 40. I'll scream the TV if the Pack take Brian "The manufactured athlete" Cushing from USC with the 9th. I've got a Cush-lash.

I'll scream the TV if the Pack take Brian "The manufactured athlete" Cushing from USC with the 9th. I've got a Cush-lash. To me it wouldn't be the end of the world if they drafted anyone who is supposed to go in the 1st round. I can't predict the future. But they don't even need a CB. We got no where with 2 shut down CBs. If they are going to work a 3-4 they better start gathering players that can actually play it and worry about our future CB later. Look at the last 2 SB winners. Giants and Steelers. Who were their shut down CBs? Its all about getting to the QB and stopping the run. The best CB in the world can't cover a guy for 5 seconds. And last I knew we still have 2 real good CBs and Tramon has come along nicely. They also drafted a CB in the 2nd round last year. If Al hits the wall put him at nickle, or juts match him up on the slower WR. CB is the least of our worries. But I guess TT always wants to plan for next year and doesn't want to live in the now. We keep doing things this way and the future will never be here, our best players will keep getting older while we keep waiting for rookies to take over. I would also think he has some sense of his job and how to keep it. He is not on the hot seat yet, but if he wants to wait a couple more years he may be gone. All I can say is if we go into the season with the starters up front as they are now, we will be terrible on D once again. That is just a prediction though. CanadiansforBrowns 0 Posted April 23, 2009 I'll be pissed if my Browns grab Sanchez. We have 2 QB's making good money already. I don't want any skill position there actually. Gimme Curry or some D-line. Run and stop the run in the AFC North.
phillybear 364 Posted April 23, 2009 I will shoot everybody in my neighborhood if the Seahawks take a QB. Then have sex with them. This might take a while. I might not return until the 2nd round begins. Also, I can't remember the last time so many fans of so many teams didn't want a 1st round quarterback in a given year. listen2me 23 1,541 Posted April 23, 2009 I will be mad if TT drafts more luxury players with the 1st 2 picks. Last year. Jordy Nelsen - We have a very Young G. Jennings, Older D. Driver, a young James Jones, Young Ruvall Martin. And he takes a WR with the 1st pick of the Packers draft? Dumb. Brian Brohm- Already had a Young QB starting. They were sold enough on Rodgers that they kept Favre away. No need to draft a rookie backup. Brohm ended up being the 3rd QB. The team isn't good enough to draft these Luxury Picks, especially early in the draft. I like BPA if there is a clear BPA or you are a great team with great starters. Good thing is there are no luxury position this year besides WR and QB again. They have holes every where.

I think there's a very good chance it could be Crabtree or Jenkins. My guess is Jenkins, but TT will take the best available player, even if it's a WR. Pretty good chance if Crabtree is there, he's going to be the BPA.

He blitzes while he has no good pass rusher. The middle is gashed like a 40 year old prostitute. As 2 DL get hurt and the Packers again have no good depth. Fans blame lost season on injuries again. The Packers yet again suck on D.

WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted February 2, 2010 I take it back, I take it back hehe. i scanned to see what my answer was before reading the newest posts. however if you actually read my response, my concern was giving up TOO much for someone with so little college experience. We actually gave up relatively nothing to move up that high. a 2nd rounder plus a bunch of our Mangini bench players. His overall inexperience remained a concern of mine until I saw how much charisma and leadership he had.

mzf5c5 0 Posted February 2, 2010 Didn't the Jets go Greene then Sanchez? Pretty focking solid IMO No, they moved up to grab Sanchez and then moved up in the second to get Greene. mzf5c5 0 Posted February 2, 2010 Sanchez was 5th overall Greene was the first pick in the 3rd round. Was it the third round? I could have sworn it was second, but if it was third, I gotta say, one of the steals of the draft.
