The jackson owner is also a l.White owner so he really wants CJ

They both have easy schedules check it out. Jax doesn't loose goal line looks. They are both studs at this point.

I'm very thin at Rb.

Johnson

J.Jones (worthless) but I'm going to take M.Morris with my waiver pick this week

McGahee , seems to be coming on but he has fumbling issues

Parker ,maybe some day I'll get him back

D.Ward. ,not a starter

I need to find out if Jackson is 100% before I make this move.

I don't know why you'd ask this. I wouldn't need to think twice about it. You'd be getting a big, workhorse RB who doesn't share goal line or catches with anyone. He's getting a guy who's definitely been awesome so far but he's a smallish rookie who won't get goal line carries. Who cares if SJax is dinged up. You give this other guy Johnson and he's got the headache of who to start between Lendale and Chris. This is not worthy of asking the entire board about imo. :music_guitarred:

Let's see maybe because Jackson is INJURY PRONE.

or could it be that I'm giving up my keeper pick.

So keep your stupid remarks to yourself.

Jackson is injury prone? Bullsh!t.

How many runningbacks never miss a game who carry the rock for 20+ carries a game? He had the groin pull last year and the quad strain this year which he will miss exactly 1 game with.

So he's had one injury in which he missed what 4-5 games?

Yeah - stay away - he's a walking bandaid (careful not to slip on the sarcasm)

If you put out your "should I make this trade" topic out there, you'd better learn to grow some skin and take criticism you wimp.

Go ahead and keep Johnson then. It sounds like that's what you want to do.

I own Johnson and if Sjax was offered to me straight up, I'd accept in a NY second no matter what my league format was.

Ill ride the CJohnson kool-aid train

SJax has already missed a game and probably wont play this week.

Tenn is committed to the run

I'd love to see the source where you got "'probably' won't play this week", because as far as I've read, he took one third of the practice reps on WEDNESDAY, which is a clear indication that there is no way he will 'probably' miss the game. What your're saying is that he's doubtful, which i highly doubt at this point. Questionable leading up to sunday or game-time decision at worst.

Contrary to earlier reports, the Rams are not as optimistic about Steven Jackson's status this weekend, according to the AP. "That's going to be a day-to-day thing, just see how he feels when he's running," head coach Jim Haslett said. "But he did a couple of things today and I think he did OK."

Our View

Keep a close eye on Jackson as the week goes along. The Rams are saying that his status might not be known until game time on Sunday.

That's what i'm thinking too as per Rotoworld.. it's as you said:

Wednesday, Week 9 - SJax Blurb

It does make me credit a guy like Portis who plays through all sorts of pain & such and usually performs.. I won't call SJax a pussay or injury prone.. but he ain't exactly old school either. team needs him on the field in the worst way possible.

I got your wimp bi%ch , Your a f$^ing moron. Let see Jackson misses 5 games out of the last 23 and he's not injury prone I know the Rams like the back of my hand. The Rams line sucks (but getting better) and Jackson has only two 100 yard games this year averaging 4.2 a carry meanwhile Cj in while splitting carries with Fat Whie has 2 100 games and a 93 while averaging 5.1 . You should try to read a stat every now and then. Until then if you can't say something worth while go post to someone that has 10 or 20 posts so that they might agree with you.

Raider Hater and Cookie at least know's what up.

To many people get there only info from espn or this site that's sad .

the playing hard and producing stats versus the limping cowboys and aging pats is still not a true sign of their return to form. jackson is still streaky on a bad team which is evaluating everyone from GM to coach to players.

johnson plays on a winning team with a coach who holds firmly to his rock solid formula. he [johnson] will continue to see [plenty of opps as they run their normal offense to mount leads, and/or run the clock out to close games. he is quickly gaining confidence and reps in the pass/screen game, and collins definitely showed on monday night he is capable of throwing on unobviou downs to mix it up and move the ball through the air. this all points to their increased propensity for offensive success.

it would not be error to pick the steadier/certain player [johnson] on a better team than the streaky upside player [jackson] on the bad team.

These are very good points. If you're league is a PPR or TD heavy league it may favor Jackson.. SJax is still relatively young and getting paid to be "the guy".. but we've all seen what happened with LJ as he took tons of punishment and his team got horrible around him.

I LOVE the kid.. he's brilliant and as a fan, super fun to watch play. I just think it's early to declare a sub 200 lb. speed back top five.. they all get hurt.. how will the kid respond?

Why did you even create this worthless thread when you're so pro Johnson anyway? Don't do the trade and move on please. You need to grow up and it shows in your posts.

I own both SJax and Chris Johnson in a keeper league, and our settings are PPR. So I like them both...here's some positives for CJ28....and I think he's more than a scatback as people are saying...

1) The home run ability...he can break one anytime.

2) He runs hard, and low to the ground. He's a better between the tackle runner than most are giving him credit for.

3) The effectiveness as a WR and catching the ball. Maybe this is more important in my league settings, but think...we haven't seen him line-up that much in the slot yet...he's going to be a matchup nightmare.

4) The athletic and talented O-line in Tenneseee. Even though teams don't respect their passing game one bit, this team still runs the ball very well. A credit to their O-Line.

5) The home run ability.

Of course, the durability question has not been answered as we're only7 games into his NFL career. So that's a question mark for Johnson. Also, there is the Lendale White factor which reduces his value in non-PPR. So I can see the arguments against.

As for this year, I would take SJax the rest of the way. He is the man there, he is also a great receiver out of the backfield, the Rams are improving on O and the schedule the rest of the way is very friendly. Also Johnson may hit a bit of the rookie wall, but Fisher has done a good job rationing his touches so far.

In a keeper though...don't sell Johnson's potential short. SJax is still the better keeper...but Johnson has a chance to be something special, health permitting.

I wouldn't do this trade from either side.

If I had Chris Johnson, I'd stick with him.

If I had SJax, I'd stick with him.

Couple things:

- SJax is currently injured. After last year I made a rule for myself never to trade for an injured player again.

- CJ has TD's in 4/7 games. SJax 2/6 games.

- CJ avg 103 yds/gm, SJax 128 yds/gm

- In their last 4 games, each has 4 TD.

Again I'd sit tight with whichever RB I had.
