Titans D

Recommended Posts

Granted, they've played 2 bad offenses so far, but it seems most sites still rank them b/t 5th and 10th on thier weekly rankings and they are only owned in 89% of leagues on sportsline. Am I the only one who thinks they have a real shot at being the #1 fantasy DEF at years end?

For ex they are playing HOU this week and are ranked 10th on sportsline, behind the likes of DAL vs GB. IMO if they are on your WW and you don't run to get them you are crazy. Look at thier remaining schedule: HOU MIN @BAL BYE @KC IND GB @CHI @JAX NYJ @DET CLE @HOU PIT

and Haynesworth had a bad game vs Cincy b/c he couldn't practice all week. Haynesworth is practicing this week and should be better. I'm playing Tennessee this week and I'm pumped. Can't wait to see the sack total B)

I actually drafted them in the 16th round after I had already drafted the Redskins. Well I liked Tennessee's matchup better week 1 and I can't see myself starting Washington over them now except on their bye (which the Redskins have the Rams at home  ).

The sack numbers should be high all season, but they especially harassed Schaub last year. In fact I'm pretty sure they knocked him out of both games against Tennessee. I could see 7+ sacks again vs. Houston this week. As someone said Haynesworth didn't have a great game at Cincy last week, but he should be back to normal which is bad news for the Texans O-Line.

Now imagine if they drafted Mario Williams instead of that incompetent half-wit momma's boy. :dunno:

Well, he wasn't really available since he was the first pick in the draft and all.

I picked them up when the season began.

(Un)fortunately, I have a decision to make this week:

Seattle (vs STL)

Tennessee (vs HOU)

I'm leaning towards Seattle since the Rams are such a mess. Houston (as bad as they are) does have an extra planning week for this game... for whatever that's worth. :dunno:

I'm in the same exact boat...

I'm leaning towards TEN simply b/c I've watched them rack up the points on my bench the last two weeks. I went with SEA last week thinking SFR wouldn't be able to do anything and look what happened! If it weren't for the DFS TD they wouldn't have done too much for my team...

Tough call this week - might wait to see what the weather looks like for both games before making a decision...

Well, for what its worth, Houston was planning for the Ravens last week and not the Titans as the game wasn't postponed until after Reliant Stadium was damaged and ruled out for a Monday night game.

I took S.D. as the #2 defense overall and that may be the only reason I haven't dropped them for the Titans. I just don't have the roster space for both at this point.

SD's D is not going to be as advertised I'm afraid.

Snatched them off of waivers after the 1st work, dropping Dallas and was very happy I did so. I had them for stretches last season and they were really nice whenever Haynesworth is healthy.

Hopefully, Andre Johnson will be the only offense they allow.

Dude - run, don't walk to the WW and pick TEN up. Just b/c u drafted SD high doesn't mean squat. Would you drop LJ for Chris Johnson (i hope so) Would you drop R. Moss for B. Marshall (I hope so), so the same applies here. Just my 2 cents..

I don't think it's necessarily as cut and dry as the analogy you mention because defenses are a bit too finnicky but I do agree with you to a certain extent. If they apprear to be as good as advertised, I better nab them.

Well obviously. I'm talking about if HOU had done what all his half-wit Texas fans were begging the Texans to do on draft day.

His hate for VY way before this season blinded him to that fact.

Though I have to say, it looks like he has a point about VY's prospects, now.

Still can't decide which DFS to roll with this week...

SEA vs SFR

or

TEN vs HOU

I'm leaning towards SEA, but I don't want to watch another week of TEN racking up points on my bench...

I'm in almost the same boat, debating between DSTs for TEN and IND this weekend. I tend to think TEN is a no-brainer decision, but IND does have a good secondary despite their issues at LT.

Much love for the Titans D here,I had them targeted in both my money leagues and was able to get them in both, sitting at 2-0 in each league and the Titans D has averaged 19 points per game for me.

Luckily, my roster depth is o.k at the key positions, so I can afford to carry 2 DST's. I will be playing matchups all year w/ the Eagles & Titans.

You took San Diego as the 2nd defense when they had Merriman. With Merriman lost for the season, that's at least 1 or 2 points per game gone. Could be a lot more, depending on your scoring. Tennessee is long gone, I'm sure.

Not only has their D performed excellently for me this season, but I have wagered on them all 3 weeks this season and they have come through with flying colors.

26.9 this week

next up the Vikes

And all we have to do is stop the run - ha. All Day will face a real defense this weekend boys. Gus Frerotte won't make it through the game. I don't think the Tenn defense respected Slaton's speed and cuts this past weekend. He definitely earned my respect. They did make nice adjustments at halftime after he ran for over 100 yards in the first half. He then didn't get squat in the 2nd half. Tennessee won't make that mistake again with Peterson coming to town.

Picked them up off the wire before week 2 and won both last week and this week with them... looking like they'll be my every week start except for their bye.

I have the same delima. I was laughed at for picking both on draft night. Who are you going to start week four?

I'll likely ride w/ Ten. I think w/ Frerotte at QB for Minny, they'll take more chances, thus, maybe more sacks & turnovers. The deciding factor for me though, is that Ten is at home, while Philly is at Chicago (who I see as a conservative team, not taking many chances, thus less sacks & turnovers, BUT, probably won't score much either; PLUS, w/ Westy possibly out for Philly, they may not score as much either, so Chi can play ball control). Depends on the scoring systems in your league, tbh... I'm gonna mull this over all week. I'm just glad to have these two as options.
