The ones that play a thunderstorm, rain, ocean waves, rainforest, etc? Just curious if they work well or just a waste of money. Honestly, the fan that I have on makes some sound and seems to be just fine but curious about this

When I have a terrible headache and I'm trying to sleep, I go to youtube and find some eight hour long recording of ocean sounds or rain or jungle sounds and use that ... and my wife hates it. So I only do it, like I said, when i have a massive headache.

Looking through amazon and saw someone say that they use it when they have a headache as well. Always been curious about them. Thats actually not a bad idea to pull up YouTube for it either

I use an app called white noise. It has dozens of different sounds.

 

Several kinds of rain, campfire, fan, clothes drier, ocean waves, crickets, train, city noise, etc.

 

You can set a timer so it turns itself off after a set amount of time. You can also combine sounds. So if you want campfire and crickets for example, can do.

 

Its quite useful for travel. Throw on the noise cancelling headphones, play a sound, and sleep.
