CH42 0 Posted August 27, 2014 This is a PPR Keeper league, standard starting line-up (QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, Flex (RB/WR) . . ) Here's the situation: I can keep Gronk for a 4th round pick or Cameron for an 11th round pick. Everyone knows the issues around Gronk and Cameron's QB play, so no need to elaborate. I'm already keeping Gio for a 6th, just for context. I currently have Cameron tagged as my keeper, but Gronk is always enticing - regardless of the latest trade. So who's the better value > Gronk in the 4th or Cameron in the 11th? Thanks!! 49erGold 36 Posted August 27, 2014 I like Cameron... some take him high as 4th but I have mid-round grade 6th. And your in a keeper so he is just hitting prime and Gronk constantly injured. Gronk is a 3rd rounder maybe 4th depending draft I seen him slide.... so your getting fair value. As far as 2014 is concerned having Gronk would be an asset... in your keeper league not sure what be left at 4th... so I call it 5th rounder re-draft pick... you can get well not Gronk... but Welker, intermediate RBs like Gore, CJ and young WRs stars like Floyd and Patterson.... If you do keep Gronk I recommend only ff TE handcuff get another TE in case he gets reinjured. Recap 2014 value straight up Gronk... Cameron 2nd echelon of TE potentially. Keeper TE Cameron due youth and no injuries... but for 2 yrs basis likely Gronk. I'd keep TE Cameron... great value. Follow your draft board if you land Gronk well you already have top ff handcuff TE. I'm very weary of Gronk did he finish any season he played in? Sad hopefully he finishes 2014. I just learned of TE Tim Wright trade to NE... this might seriously up Gronks value... 2014 value rose. So if your going for 2014 cash Gronk might be your man. CH42 0 Posted August 28, 2014 Great insight - I'm leaning towards Gronk at the moment, waiting to see if any news comes out of camp during the net couple days.
polecatt 399 Posted August 28, 2014 I would take Cameron too. If Gronk plays close to 16 games he is the easy choice but I think those chances are slim to none.
jdon 28 Posted August 29, 2014 I value consistency a little more in a dynasty league... with Gronk's uncertainty going forward, coupled with the discrepancy between rounds, I would keep cameron and call it a day... I would imagine you could draft gronk in the third round but I doubt cameron is there in the tenth in your draft... jdon
