mcmill3 0 Posted August 28, 2014 I'm in a 10 team, PPR league. We start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex (RB/WR/TE), D, K. I was offered Tom Brady, Reggie Bush and Vincent Jackson for Jamaal Charles. I laughed at first but have begun to ponder the outcome a little closer. Brady is an upgrade. Vincent Jackson is an upgrade and although not sure I need Reggie, he's a top 20 kind of guy. Losing Jamaal would be a blow but Gio and Ball with Joique on the bench is should be more than enough. In addition, I'd have to drop two of my guys to make room. Also a tough decision. What are your thoughts? Stay or make accept the deal? Here's my squad: QB: RGIII, Russell Wilson RB: Jamaal Charles, Montee Ball, Giovani Bernard, Joique Bell, Jeremy Hill WR: MIchael Floyd, Randle, Emanuel Sanders, DeAndre Hopkins, Justin Hunter, Torrey Smith, Terrence Williams TE: Julius Thomas
polecatt 399 Posted August 28, 2014 No way. I'm not certain Brady will be an upgrade. I think his days of huge numbers may be over. He will have a huge game or two but I don't think he has RG3's upside and Wilson should be just as consistent. I think you can about roll the dice on those 3.Then you look at it and you trading the top PPR RB for 2 guys you may not even start every week. Basically it's the possible fantasy MVP for 3 3rd tier players. He's trying to pull the ole quantity for quality trick. Don't fall for it.
mrmostlymittens 7 Posted August 28, 2014 If the WR wasn't Vincent I wouldn't hesitate. He's a streaky dude. Tom would be a HUGE upgrade at QB imo.
Sean McDermott 2 Posted August 29, 2014 Yeah Jackson is not that great a WR even in PPR. He had 3 big games last year he got all of his points from. Everything else he was below average. I wouldn't do the trade. You don't improve enough in the other areas to outweigh what you lose in Charles, even though I think he regresses a little this season with OL problems in KC. Lake209 34 Posted August 29, 2014 No trade. I agree w/the sentiment of others; the "upgrade" at QB is not balance w/the downgrade at RB. You have solid RB's w/Charles, Ball, & Geo. Bush may prove Top 20, but you hamstring yourself (at the weakest skill position) w/this deal. And, someone else here called V.Jax "inconsistent." I second that. He's a stud...AND...frustrating AND inconsistent. Wait for Floyd, Sanders, and T. Williams to come around (& they will). And let's not forget you may have the #2 TE in the league right now...in fact, your entire team is solid (props). Also...am I the only person that LIKES R. Wilson at QB this year?.. Certainly he's not a Top 5 guy...but Top 12...maybe Top 10 is not out of reach. He sure looks sharp preseason...Brady might be better...but not by much. jdon 28 Posted August 29, 2014 Charles could win the league for you... the other guys, not so much... I wouldn't do it
