Maybe someone should start LOL all Larry Odonnell owners like some jackass did on Thursday when certain Minny RBs actually scored points?

This is the year of starting players every wrong week for me. Benched Donnell last week for Olsen and vice versa this week. Prob gonna cost me a win again this week because of it. Also had Golden Tate and Quick on my bench too. Brutal season so far...can't get anything right.

Eli is not a TE guy, he throws to them only when he needs to. Today, he didn't need to. Falcons however have been putting Alford on TEs this year and using Trufant to spy the QB.

Still bitter about that, hey Jackass?

I will still win without the points, but just wanted to make sure he wasn't injured.

manning looked his way at the goal line, TD went to randle instead. i think it was Atl defense scheme related most of the day.

ODB played well, too. just wasn't his day. no reason for alarm.

He was mostly reliant on TDs to be productive. Those are not consistent ways to look for points and will get you days like that.

The same can be said for most TE's. However Donnell did have at least 5 receptions in each of the first 4 games.

Not for the top tier TEs which this guy was being put in that tier by some.

Donnell became a star because of the 3 TD performance.

I think he is still a decent start at TE...but more of a guy relying on a TD to ever get him to double digits and there will be tough days were you eek out 2 points from him.

Graham is really the only TE that's not reliant on TD's to be productive. Yes, some of the others are safer bets to get those TD's but for example yesterday was the first game that Gronk had more than 4 catches or 44 yards, and 2 of Thomas's games have been less than 40 yards.

Still, I don't think people were really putting Donnell in the tier with those guys, maybe a bit below them where most of the other guys haven't been weekly studs either.

I thought the same thing. He's never been a guy that throws to the TE position a lot. Everytime I read about Donnell they talk about how Eli has always utilized his TE's. I've been to lazy to look up numbers, but I don't remember any TE's standing out with Eli. Maybe Shockey?

None the less, I think Donnell will be fine. He's had such a breakout year that it makes sense he'll start to get more attention. Other guys will step up, Cruz, Randle, OBJ, Jennings....Donnell will bounce back.

Watched a lot of game. Falcons made a point to have a DE or LB bump him most of the time to slow his release into routes. Bumped and double teamed him at the goal line. Paid him a lot of attention. When D's go back to worrying about the WR's Donnell should go back to being a decent TE play.

Really don't care, give yourself a pat on the back for starting Asiata (WOW 5 points!). The thread was more a jab at the 10 page McKinnon love-fest thread.

Good to know, just an off game. Thanks for that.

Really don't care.

Thanks though!

Well you cared enough to not only respond in every Asiata / McKinnon thread, but to start a new thread LOL'ing and calling out all owners which is a pretty weak and childish move.

So, not buying your claim now. You cared a lot

Are you quite finished? You're clearly bitter about that. Go reply to the other thread if you want to debate that.

Enjoy Asiata for the rest of the year. Clearly you can't take a joke. Judging from your other replies, you come off as an arrogant asshat of a user as well. Good day sir, we're done.

I will play him as the situation dictates with bye weeks and other injuries.

Are you British?

Donell likely done with the emergence of Odell and the nfl catching on. But hes still a guy Eli could target in the redzone. Think of him as scott chandler!

Im not talking about just this year.

Gronk does get pumped up with his TDS...but he has gotten the targets more consistently over his career too. (and is higher up on the target list as far as a consistent producer near the GL).

Where is Donnell in the Giants GL pecking order. Gronk is likely #1 for the Pats as a Redzone target. I don't think Donnell is their #1 option in the redzone.

I think you will see him more reliant on TDs though....so weeks like this will come for a TE like Donnell.

What do you do with this guy going forward? Is he droppable? Right now he's my second TE, but at this point I don't even know if I'd ever start him over Olsen (besides his bye week).

He obviously still has potential. Huge frame and redzone looks (awesome TD catch called back tonight), but without the targets he's useless. ATL made it a point to not let him beat them last game. And tonight Eli couldn't take 2 steps without someone knocking him over. Even still, how do you not try to throw to him when he's looked unstoppable at times?

Are these terrible couple games the exception or the norm?

He went off against the Redskins who make any average player look good. Is it any wonder Donnell has not been able to even come close to matching his performance against the Redskins?

He was still playing well before the Redskins game. Like 6-7 targets a game and a ton of redzone looks. And now it's like he doesn't exist. You'd think with how the O-line is playing lately he'd get even more targets! Nope. Coughlin would rather run the ball and have Eli take 7 step drops when their line is playing like garbage and they're down 50 pts.

To be fair, he did he a td called back after a holding penalty and was targeted in the end zone at least one other time. Problem is that eli targets him in the red zone and not much else and the giants didn't spend much time in the red zone today. He will have some more good games but he is more of a low end #1 or decent bye fill in and not a reliable every week starter.

We had another thread about this a couple of weeks ago. I posted that this would happen, and people went apeshit, because they of course picked him up and think yelling at people on the internet will change the stats somehow.
