    Fred Jackson!

The obvious answer here is to keep him and hope for a time share with Lynch. You aren't going to get any value for him as everyone knows Lynch is due back soon so why not hold on and ride the situation out. The carry split last year was not as Lynch heavy as you think and given Jackson's early performance you don't trade unless your gonna get a top 20 talent back.
  2. So I'm considering starting a 12 man auction dynasty league with a 100$ entry fee. Leaguesafe would be used with 100% payout minus site fee's. I would be playing along with my brother, anyone else interested in a LONG TERM commitment? I would require a deposit on next years team to be applied to your balance for year 2, and not refunded if you drop. Maybe a 30 buck investement there. No IDP's, 1 qb 2 rb 2 wr 1 te 1 k 1d 1 flex (no qb) league. Deep rosters with rookie/released draft yearly determined by previous years finish. I am a long term board member and can provide references from other 3 year + board members if need be.

$100 New Dynasty Startup with WCOFF scoring (non-IDP)

Very possible I have two players (myself and bro). Will let you know within next 12 hours. If this league was auction it would be a no-brainer but we need to decide if we want to deal with the lameness of the snake draft.
  4. Title says it all. Leaguesafe almost a requirement.

    How long before...

I'm just curious you guys remember last year pre-injury? This guy is an elite level NFL back, something Ricky is not at this point. He obviously won't score like this all year but I predict better numbers than say.........Willie Parker and LJ from here on out. Solid RB2 IMO.

    LT to start Monday night

According to the San Diego Union LT will start against the Jets, although his duties are unclear. This kind of murcky situation on a monday night reeks of impending fantasy doom, but I am currently going with starting Sproles as I feel this is a courtesy start and that the split will favor Sproles. Just some info for those of us sweating this out. (thank God for Turner and Parker).

    Just traded for Sproles

As an LT who did not own Sproles (12 man auction league, 17 roster spots) I just completed a trade to back up my stud. I should mention this is a keep 2 league with 10% increases in salary for kept players, max 3 year keep. Traded away Felix Jones and the GB defense, got back Sproles and the Tampa D. Not happy to part with Jones as he would have made a decent cheap keeper but his playing time is totally dependant on the inevitable Barber injury. From what I can gather from my 3 leagues the asking price is dropping as the week goes on, I think people are realizing he only really has value to those who own LT. That said if you don't have him and do have LT you MUST go out and pick him up now.

    LT

So where are all the douches that were saying it was silly to worry over this injury? This looks like lingering, season long headache waiting to happen.
  9. Toe injuries are a ###### and the info is mighty slim on this, I begin to get itchy. With 1 being who gives a crap and 10 being trade now or pay the price how do you feel? I'm at least a 4 on the scale.

    Thoughts on Kurt Warner

Warner as a co-starter? Solid. Warner as your clear cut number 1 QB? Trouble. Although he is in nearly a perfect fantasy situation he is not far removed from the 5 turnover days of old and he is certainly no less fragile now that he's a year older. Couple that with the fact that the Cards brass is itching to find out what they have in Leinhart and at least fish or cut bait with him and you have problems. I would easily start him over Anderson week one and will start him week one in my more important league over Cutler vs. the raiders. However I just don't see putting all my eggs in this guys one fragile bastket.

    For those who don't auction

You are horribly incorrect again. You think average auction values are carved in stone as handed down by God to Moses? They change just as frequently as do ADP's. And if you don't mock, then you have no idea what the market is for players, what the trends are in nomination order and when exactly to expect the "I have money but there is no talent left" bubble to burst.

    For those who don't auction

Why don't you just come out and say that you like playing with idiots and you feel an auction hurts your chance to build a godly team because the fools in your league don't know the chic late round picks. You always talk about "surprises" and the "intrigue" of a snake draft. You are making yourself look foolish with arguements that even those who are in favor of snake drafts would acknowledge are trivial and incorrect. If you lack dedication and play as a hobby or your leaguemates do, then I perfectly understand sticking to the status quo. But to say it requires more mocks and study for a snake draft is patently incorrrect. After the 5th person tells you this you continue to ignore reality and stick to that ridiuclous line. Again explain to me why it takes so many mocks to do a good snake draft. You ,know who is going to be there in the first four rounds and even if a "surprise" occurs, then you just move up the line to draft the next player. You also seem enamored with your late round sleeper picks (90% of whom never amount to anything anyway). Why do you not grasp the fact that if you want to get a late round steal in an auction you simply outbid others for him? Its irrelevant who nominates them only who wins them. My impression (and everyone elses reading the thread) is that you play in a poor league where you are vastly more prepared than others and can grab players late who you have no business getting because you play with primates. Of course you don't want to risk the keys to the kingdom when you can grab every hot name in rounds 10-15 while people draft Isaac Bruce and Vandergajt. And why study average draft positions, how is this any different than studying average auction values? It isn't. Except that when studying average draft positions you are by default unable to draft many players because of the draft setup, whereas in auction you have access to the full pool of players. If anything it requires FAR more homework because you cannot be assured of a RB1 and WR1 just because your alive when your pick comes around. Again I would not pressure every fantasy player in the world to draft auction, but anyone who cares enough to post here should enjoy the more skilled format. You have vastly more control over your roster so one would expect your knowledge would really help.

    For those who don't auction

Brilliant post revealing you know absolutely nothing about the issue being discussed. Every point you make is steeped in idiocy. Lets see....... 1. Anyone can have LT if they want. In a snake draft even if you want him you have at very best a 1/6 (12 teams) chance. Thats a huge fundamental difference. 2. You don't have to get anyone you don't want, don't nominate them or don't bid. Thats truly insightful posting you did there. If you end up with lesser players to fill out your roster (and hell this applies in a snake draft also) then take lesser players you like. Why you would ever end up with people you didn't want unless you just quit after round 10 or so I don't know. 3. You can have any player, whereas in snake drafts virtually every team drafted from the 6 hole is the same. There is less than no strategy in picking the next highest ranked guys or hoping some idiot misses the obvious pick in round 5. 4. False. My auction league team (12 team league) has Westbrook/Grant/Colston/Housh. Another team Has LT and Addai. How is that possible in any similarly sized league where you don't play with primates in a snake draft? 5. The painful truth none of us wants to admit is that regardless of the depth of your knowledge and research fantasy sports have a HUGE luck component. Moreso than ever in this day and age where the "sleeper" is a thing of the past because 32343243 websites chart this stuff. Managing your draft and the wire effectively still plays a large role but at least a third of winning is pure, unadulterated luck. The auction does nothing to eliminate this factor, it merely allows you to feel better about it because you actually targeted players. I have won snake drafts where a guy I hugely valued went the pick before so I picked the next guy on my list. Then the guy I loved suck and my player rocks, so I look like a genius. And finally auction works hella great with keepers you just increase values yearly. 3.

    For those who don't auction

So you would rather lose your league for free the year LT2 scores 30 TD's merely because some luckbox drew first pick? I much prefer to chart my own course.
