Exactly.

Going wr, wr unless he falls.

when a player is determined to lose weight like he seemed to i have no doubts they will accomplish it. hope he can maintain and stay in shape. he will out perform his draft stock if he does.

I went WR, WR, WR last year and was 3rd highest scoring team and failed to make the playoffs

Beckham, Green, Hopkins

That's an early and foolish strategy

Make the case please

Without a draft position or knowing what exactly is available blindly saying they would take only Lacy or go WR/WR is just silly talk. Not even worth debating.

There are many rbs I would take before Lacy if they slipped.

You are kidding right? What is so appealing about him? Injuries? Time split?

I sort of get what you are saying here and its the way I play things myself, being open to how the draft falls, but.....

saying it in those terms implies one is completely closed minded and dismissive to the idea of Zero RB as being a realistic way to go. The core tenet is the intended tactic of not taking RBs until later in the draft, hoping to hit on one or more and then being willing to work the wire and or trade market to fill in holes as necessary as the year moves along. For those who use this as the basis for their draft unless they are OK with Gronk in the 1st, and many aren't, WR/WR is really the only thing to be thinking seriously about.

I don't think those people are foolish. It has become a more accepted and more popular strategy not just because it makes sense, or based on hind-sight. Its more popular because it has been successful for those who employ it for years and by coincidence (IMO), even more successful as it has become more wide-spread recently because the top RBs have been more of a crap shoot than they were in the past.

I'm wary of a guy getting paid millions to be in shape who needed p90x AFTER the season to get in shape. Shows lack of commitment and heart.

well, I'm also reserving judgement until he actually starts the season in shape.

he put on a ton of weight in one summer.

even if he took off a ton of weight already, that weight can probably go on just as fast as it came off.

this needs to be a commitment for the full offseason.

at this point all I am willing to do is say I am encouraged by what I have heard and what I have seen.

So do you think espn will rank him number one overall again ? They do a solid job over there .

over dramatic a bit plus first some attacked him because he was fat now they attack him because of how he lost weight? narrative is what it is i suppose, you see them every year. both good or bad. this years narrative is "lacy is fat and he will never be good again. he cant be good again, he was fat last year." from what i see here lacy is so polarizing and that is the reason you will not see any other discussion but the is he fat or not.

back to the narrative i mentioned that so many follow. when you have this much pessimism why would you even come to a lacy thread is a question i have? he managed to make other offseasons in shape to perform. why is it everyone thinks lacy being too fat too play is the rule and not the exception seeing how he performed for 2 years before this? he is a bigger guy, it is why he runs over people and has had success.

some of the same arguments that people had before he lost weight has changed from "lets see if he can lose weight" to "lets see if he can keep the weight off." what will it be next for those who have all the pessimism in the world for lacy? follow the pictures and results not the message board narrative.

why does this board not have the ability to use multiple quotes? would cut down on number of posts be people in a row.

It tells me that someone finally got the message loud and clear. I'm sure that Mike McCarthy has been soft-shoeing it with the media with regards to his exit interview with Mr. Lacy. It probably went a little more like "Hey Fatso! You're about one Ding Dong from being an ex-NFL player, so I better not be able to recognize you when Training Camp rolls around, or I'm gonna roll your fat a$$ out of here into the unemployment line. Do you understand the term non-guaranteed contract?"

Fair enough. One mans overdramatic is another mans next level analysis that saved him from making a bad pick. Could be either and I would not be surprised.

i did agree with him in another thread and since had my post deleted. not something i try to do normally. only two schools of thought with lacy, fat and done or can be back to what he once was. im in the can get back to what he once was camp.

P90x is a shortcut for fat old guys like me to get back in shape. Never heard of this as an offseason regimen for pro athletes

Unless you are an alias (wich is common here) you will see that around june/july the debates and talk ramps up to a fever pitch around here. This is kind of the offseason and downtime really. We will start obsessing and ranking guys to death and we will all see how opinions change.

that is fantasy football in general, raise the price when you can. but you agree with someone now you are an alias? the internet is a paranoid place. i have said before lacy is polarizing there are only two sides to this according to the people here. one thread had to be locked for lacy so he is a hot topic. i feel the same about cj anderson, he is a two camp player.

I've seen some scuttlebutt about the pack possibly being interested in Ronnie Hillman. One has to think it would affect Lacy's draft value if they sign him.

If the Packers sign Hillman of course that will effect Lacy value .

1600 is a bit high but make it 1400 and thats pretty much where we all think he has potential to be. Especially with Jordy back, it could look like a different team to last year.

Championships aren't won because of the first few rounds of your draft. It's the gems you find later or along the way.

Thank you David Johnson and Reed.

Yeah but Championships can be lost because of the draft picks made in the first few rounds .

I never thought anyone was questioning his potential to put up numbers, rather most everyone was questioning if he had the desire and drive necessary to capitalize on his potential. Count me in with the doubters - some pics w fans and a P90X doesn't mean he's going to not be the same guy. I hope he will be, but GB would not have resigned Starks and be sniffing around Hillman if they were confident in where Eddy's head is at.

what do the people who said he was fat want? he is losing weight and is looking fit and has pictures to prove it, still not good enough. and what is this same guy stuff, the same guy who was great before last year? starks and hillman, are they studs and i missed the notice? this just seems like stuff people would say if they wanted someone to fail.

Well, the P90X will lose weight, but it wont help with his physical conditioning.

If he comes into camp with lost weight, but hes not in shape, it will show up pretty early.

The bottom line is that this is a rumour at this point. I heard he had hired a personal trainer and was getting huge results that way.

the P90X rumour is fairly recent and if hes looking ripped in the pictures, I doubt that the P90X will build muscle. I think it just burns fat.

Although I'd welcome some comments from someone in the know about what this product actually does.

a rumor? it isnt a rumor, its fact he is working out with the creator of P90x and is losing wieght, picture show he is thinner and before. use your eyes it is visable. i doubt, i think? your comments are that of a lacy hater who he can do nothing to please you now. also those acting as if P90x isnt intense, try it for yourself.
