Pocahontas Refuses DNA Test!

Recommended Posts

Shocking!

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., argued that her family’s claim to Native American ancestry is an indelible part of who she is — something that can never be taken away.

Warren defended herself on NBC’s “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” Sunday morning when asked what she thought about taking an easily accessible DNA test, such as those offered by 23andMe or Ancestry, to settle the ongoing controversy over her heritage.

Rather than address that question specifically, Warren told a story about how her mother and father, born and raised in Oklahoma, met as teenagers and fell head-over-heels in love. Her father’s family was bitterly opposed to their relationship, she said, because her mother was part Native American, but the couple eloped and persevered.

“That’s the story that my brothers and I all learned from our Mom and our Dad, from our grandparents and all of our aunts and uncles. It’s a part of me, and nobody is going to take that part of me away — not ever,” Warren said.

After hearing this story, Todd returned to his initial concern: Why not do genealogical research or take a DNA test to find out her actual heritage? What’s wrong with knowing whether her family’s story was the truth?

“I do know. I know who I am. And never used it for anything, never got any benefit out of it anywhere,” she said.

Warren has many liberal admirers who wish to see her pursue the Democratic presidential nomination for the 2020 election. But she’s also been dogged by the allegation that she has claimed Native American ancestry to advance her academic career. The claim emerged as a controversy in 2012 when she successfully challenged Scott Brown’s Senate seat. But it took on new life when President Trump incorporated “Pocahontas” into his list of insults for political opponents.

On March 6, the Berkshire Eagle, a daily newspaper published in Pittsfield, Mass., published an editorial calling upon Warren to take one of the many commercially available DNA tests to settle the controversy. If the test showed Native American DNA, her claims would be vindicated, and it might even shut down Trump. If it did not, she could offer an apology to Native American tribes and anyone else offended by her claim.

“By facing the truth and taking responsibility for it, she would disarm her enemies and show potential voters that she was human and capable of mistakes, just like them,” the editorial reads. “Handled properly, it could become a testimonial to her integrity and truthfulness at a time when that quality is in short supply among the nation’s leadership.”

No. Really. THIS is the Democrats big hope? She wants people to be outraged by Trump calling her names but she has appropriated the Indian culture to advance her cause. All on oral family history.

I have bad news for England. According to family oral history. I should actually be the king of England. Sorry Charles. Harry. William. You guys can step down all at once of course. Not sure if I have to cut your head off in a there can only be one Highlander type thing but I'm sure we can figure it out.

I thought there was no way Trump was getting reelected. I'm on here guaranteeing it, I think...but the Dems are just going to fock this up again, aren't they?

Hopefully they can find somebody under a hundred fifty years of age. They might have a shot then.

It won't be one of the "obvious" people like Biden, Warren or Bernie. Someone will emerge. Its not typical for there to be an obvious candidate at this stage.

Hell, there was last time and look how that turned out.

I did not vote for him before. I will this next time barring something super crazy happening. I have seen more from him in his first term that makes me happy than anything obama did and I voted for him twice. Literally the only person that could stand a chance against him is Oprah and I really think that she has something in her closet she does not want coming out under the pressure of a campaign run. She is going to tell people that god did not call her to do this at this time.

Oprah? Even my mom, who watched Oprah every day faithfully for years, laughs at the thought. Oprah?

I thought that Warren could have done the 23andme.com thing a long time ago. Probably wouldn't change anything given that the horse has already left the barn. My guess is that she has done one already and didn't like the results.

I can't see her being a national player. Too far left even for some "liberals".

Is there any doubt to this? Her career is tied to that fantasy. If it were actually true, she would have put the results on a flag and be flying it every day.

Chuck Todd pressing her on it means she is out of favor with the left.

The thing is she would automatically get the woman vote and the black vote. Toss in gays, liberal beta men and anyone pissedd off at trump for any reason and she would absolutely give him a run for his money. She is literally the only one I could see though.

Fauxcohauntus can join the white lady claiming to identify as a black woman as their career slowly dim away.

Another person who took on Trump and got curb stomped. At some point the left should figure out (like the Right Never Trumpers did) you should just try to work with the guy.

Kamala Harris. Just in case Lieawatha is too white for some of the voters.

Native American, non-Native American...I dont give a rats ass. Being a Democrat is what Ive got against Mrs. Beasley.

I don't get all of the people who are calling her a liar. If she is blatantly lying to gain an advantage, doesn't that make her more Presidential? If Trumps lips are moving, he is lying.

Some of you fockers are just plain stooopid. Would you jump through hoops just to make the opposition happy? No you wouldn't. Wouldn't expect any more from the OP.

I'm gonna go with, she already had the test done, she didn't like the results.

How can a DNA test take anything away from you? If what you say is true, theres no problem.

It's like a tax return.

I for one want to commend everyone on the Right side of the political spectrum for their strong convictions and perseverance in holding our elected officials to the highest standards of honesty. Good job, well done.

She started telling these tales when there was no way to disprove her claims. Today DNA can prove her right or wrong but she will never take the test even though she could use it to embarrassment Trump and demand an apology.

If she could pass the test she could probably be president. Alas, she can't, so she won't.

I don't think she could win the presidency no matter what the outcome of a dna test would reveal. Her general demeanor is off. That said, it is amazing how people react to this claim. My grandfather died when I was 7, he was from Turkey. I was told when I was 33 that he was muslim. He would go off on his own and pray and do other muslim stuff. He wanted his children to be raised "american", and therefore hid this. If i was ever asked if I was muslim or had muslim heritage, I would have said no way. I could easily see this going the other way. If she has been told this her whole life, and it's not true, is it a lie on her part? If she has lived her whole life with this belief, would she want it to be broken down now. Maybe it is an outright lie. Either way, she is not going to be president, she does do some nice work calling out the banks, and any time repubs are calling her Pocahontas it's a we got nothing of substance smoke signal( :P ).

When she was alllying to be a professor at Harvard she said she was part Indian. Seeing as she is white as baking soda no one believes her and feel she said that to help get the job.
