Wait. He's leaving? Where the hell is he going to go? He was basically a prop. He's been with the crew forever. But he certainly isn't a star or someone who could ever carry another vehicle. If I were him, I'd stick around till they told me I had to leave.

Exactly. I'm guessing he's making some pretty good coin on that show right now.

Guessing he has something in mind but if I'm him I wouldn't overplay my hand.

Reminds me of Oates from Hall and Oates when he wanted a singles career. Okay. Good luck buddy

Ferrell makes how much per year otherwise?

These guys can get a series and make more per episode than they can in an entire year at SNL.

Agreed. And it makes sense for emerging stars like Farrell or Hartman or Farley. But does anyone even know that fat dude's name? He is the definition of a cast member. Some anonymous guy that fills certain roles in skits written to showcase bigger talents.

Oh definitely...and we don't know that he's leaving because he thinks he can carry a show, or movie...just may want to do something else or a different show.

Was just saying those guys make fairly good money.

Maybe he married one of those Rich model types that Newbie cast aside? He did a set at giggles in Allentown and met her. Place is crawling with models.

It is....but I think that speaks more to what an iconic show it is, and what it can do for a career to be a star on it. I don't think you go do that show for the money.,..you do it for the springboard. I mean look at who the big movie comics are today....many if not most have SNL roots.
