Green Bay's moron coaches

Recommended Posts

I don’t know, but it’s a good question.

I guess the new coach wants to experiment.

Not good for ff.

Jones had 17 carries last week. Williams had 4.

What on earth are you babbling about?

Williams started and played the first series over Jones, that's what he's talking about. He ended up that possession with 3 carries for 7 yards, including a 9-yard run.

Jones didn't have a carry until the 2nd quarter...……..and that's okay, I'll forgive you for trolling.

Yeah, for some reason Jones was benched to start.

Havent they seen enough by now to know Jones is it?

We could only hope so...…………….

If Aaron Jones didn't play 1st Q but out carried Williams 17-1 the rest of the way it almost sounds like a discipline thing. Late for a meeting or something.

Who cares when he gets his carries? Does it matter? He is the lead back. He had 18 fantasy pts to williams 1.

Why are you acting like its a big deal?

Okay big fella, if he gets that many more carries he's obviously better, so why not just be smart enough to play him the whole game? Man, who stepped on your tail this morning?

Its bothersome that the coaches seem to want to have Williams as the guy. Hes given the first opportunity to succeed and if he runs at a decent clip will Jones get any run?

Good news is that Williams continues to fail. Bad news is what happens to Jones if Williams has a decent start.

17 carries is great. His usage (wait for Williams to fail first) isnt ideal for predicting the next couple weeks but well just hope Williams sucks as usual

I would agree with Ehlana, logic dictates that he broke some kind of team rule and was disciplined by being benched for the first quarter

Jones is the guy. Been established for weeks now. And again last week.

Who cares who gets the 1st carry?

You are saying if williams had 15 yards instead of 9 on the qst drive they would have rolled with him? Lol

There is hardly a RB in the league who gets every single carry in a game.

Jones is no different.

17 carries and 3 catches

To 4 carries.

You do the math.

The 1st carry? You have strong opinions however seem to lack knowledge as to what happened in the game. Uneducated opinions do not carry much weight, unfortunately for you.

Quoting Roto:

"For some reason a spectator on the opening series, Jones did not touch the ball in the first quarter, and he had just seven yards on three carries at halftime. " "With some new questions about his usage and a tough matchup against the Bears, Jones will be just an RB2 next week, but he has the upside for a big game every time he touches the field."

I guess we will see in Chicago, where many people may be benching him anyway.

The sky is falling.

How many touches did Williams have in the 1st half?

I am a Packers fan and watch each game.

Hey if you think Williams will get the work then sit Jones. Go for it.

We got a guy calling them idiot coaches for giving their better back 20 touches to the backups 4. We have a guy calling them idiots when they won 34 to 20 and ATL even had a cheap last minute TD.

What do you want? The OP cries every single week like a fantasy nerd. He could have a guy who doesnt score any fairytale points through 2 minutes of a game and hes on here crying about it each week by

1:15 EST.

No question Jones did something wrong to be benched early on.

But like it’s been said , he’s diffently the rb1 and should be used on any ff as so.

It’s all good.

Son, I've been to Lambeau, tailgated, the whole thing, and YOU have got to be the rudest Packer fan I've ever met. Have another beer, maybe your fantasy team will do better next year and you won't be "that guy" again...…….wow. Do you really think there's any reason (besides discipline) why Jones would only get 3 carries in the 1st half-if so let us in on your vast knowledge, Vince Lombardi. IF they do the same thing in Chicago, then they are officially morons-along with anybody sticking up for them.

Another guy who doesn't seem to know how football sometimes works. Let's say Greenbay fell behind while only giving Jones 3 carries in the first half? Think he would have got 17 in the second half? Get it now 23? Applying the stat after the game is silly. Stat nerds still don't get how football works.

You tawk'n to me?

If you are I dont see your point.

The subject at hand is if the coaches are morons for giving Williams work and "starting" him. If that is the case then they would have given Williams 14 carries in the 2nd half not Jones. Both had 3 in the 1st half. Their gameplan was obviously to pass early and often. Their gameplan was to get into quicker throws since MM made it a point to up big plays by running deeper routes this year and it dod not work.

No idea what you are rambling on about here but willing to try and understand what point you are attempting to make.

Yes son, you have to get on here by 10:15 (PST) so the players can read (at halftime) what you're saying about them-it makes them play better. It's called constructive criticism-if you ever played any sport besides peewee whatever, a coach would've displayed this-if you were good enough for the coach to care about. Now run along...……………..

Weird fella we have here.

But seriously what is your main point of this thread? Are you afraid Williams is Philbin's guy because he got the 1st series yet was out touched 20 to 4? You have Jones and are concerned about that?

Coaches script the first several plays of a game. They came out chucking. Williams is the more trusted pass blocker. Perhaps for the plays called and the pass heavy plan they wantex him in to get that going. I have not heard anything about being sat early for discipline. Im not ruling it out but usually you hear it some where. Beat writer before the game or in the press conf after.

Discipline or just giving 1st series to Williams. Either way I dont see the concern.

Not saying Jones is a great start vs the Bears or that GB is committed to the run. But it has already been established for weeks who the guy is.

Weird fella "we" have here, huh? I think-judging by previous somments, that people on here see it my way. Are you saying that Jones can't catch a football? Like I said before, if they do the same thing in Chicago this week, then they are definitely certifiable. And yes, the players do listen to me.

If anything the coach should be called out for losing both challenges in the first minute plus of the game

Remember the RB situation in Miami when Philbin was there? This Packer RB situation kinda stinks the same. Coincidence?
