$50 entrance fee to play fantasy football. If that doesn't count, next highest is $5 on the superbowl with a classmate in high school. I lost. :pointstosky:

If you think I'm matching wits with a group of people (sports bookies) who know more about each team and their players than the coaches of those teams, you're nuts.

$1000 on last years us tennis open..

i know..who the fock bets tennis?...

while the world yawned as roger federer breezed his way to another major..i collected my cash...

sure, it wasnt amazing long shot odds...but it was a safe bet...the sun coming up probably scored close to the same odds..

(doing it again for this jan Austrailian Open to make up for my ff losses)

Im not sure I believe you. I've been sports betting for years and the largest bet I ever placed was $5,000 and you can imagine I obviously had a decent bankroll to place a wager of that size. So your either rich already, or completely retarted. And am I mistaken or are you a chick? Seems unreasonable to think a chick would place a bet of that size with strong possibility of not having great handicapping skills? :dunno:

$200. Whatever year FSU played Virginia Tech for the national championship I took the Noles giving up 7.

$1,500 on the Ravens to cover in the playoffs 4 or 5 years ago against the Titans. That didn't quite work out as planned.

$500.00 for the Cowboys to beat the Bills in one of the super bowls. I think Cowboys were favored by 10 and I was sweating it out at half time. I think the Bills were ahead until the Cowboys woke up but then I was sweating a garbage TD by the Bills at the end of the game.

First off, the 'skins were getting 9.5 points this week against NO. If you are going to make a bet, you should know that you are either giving points (need to cover) or getting points.

I would prefer not to say what the largest bet that I have made is, but I have placed bets that are 7 figures.

Of course, that is more believable than your alias, so what the hell?

first off

i blew a grand on drinks for the house

at sloppy joe's

yesterday

after the game

never made a bookie bet before this one

in my life

see i was drinking cognac

on saturday night

at the bar

when this mouthy louisiana jewish fellow

kept loudly bragging how the saints were gonna beat the redskins 50-0

of course he got me mouthing back

i don't know why

i flew up to fedex field 2 weeks ago to see a game

blah blah blah

so this miami bookie

down for a payment

stepped in

and told us both to put our $ where our mouth was

it shut up the saints fan

but not me

so the bookie proposes a point spread wager

drunk and with a pile of cash

i accepted

losing the money wouldn't have been a big deal to me

but winning was schweet

so there

ok ?

:dunno:

Won around 11 grand on the Cowboys when they won and covered vs Green Bay on a Monday Night, the night Chris Boniol kicked 7 FGs to account for all of Dallas's points.

Won about 8 grand on the Eagles, when they were a home dog in the playoffs to Detroit during the Rodney Peete, Ricky Watters tenure. I finished off a ton of winning parlays and reverses with the Eagles.

Two biggest bets I ever made. Haven't bet over a grand on anything else. And nowadays, a one unit bet = $100

This is the biggest bunch of bullshiot. First off, I don't know many bookies that would just take a $7,500 bet from a first time player. Next, I highly doubt losing $7,500 on a bet wouldn't have been a big deal to you.
