    Barber says practices too tough.

Tiki Barber: "There'd be days where I couldn't move on Tuesday or Wednesday at practice, and he'd get mad at me for going half-speed. And I told him, 'Coach, I can't do it. I'm gonna be out here, I'm never gonna miss a practice, but I can't give you what you want all the time.' And he understood." Leonard Shapiro Special to washingtonpost.com Monday, February 19, 2007; 11:22 PM From Shapiro's article: I've been in the tank for Tiki ever since I watched him play in college in Charlottesville. Over the last two years, I didn't even mind when my wife jabbed me in the ribs at 6 a.m. to watch Barber hone his broadcasting skills on the Fox News Network's otherwise pedestrian morning show. Every Tuesday -- the players' day off all around the NFL -- was "Tiki Tuesday" at Fox, and Barber showed up every week for two years as far as I can tell, even after gut-wrenching losses, injuries and overnight trips from west coast Monday night games. Tiki has near-zero credibility when he talks (when he plays, that's another story); he's in love with the sound of his own voice. Id

    Barber says practices too tough.

Considering Tuesdays are the Giant players' day off during the season, I'd say that Tiki needs to work on his accuracy in his future endeavors. Id
  6. St Louis Cardinal Eric Metcalf (Eric's dad)... What a triple-threat he was: crazy elusive returner, receiver, and runner.

NE @ IND, who's your unlikely hero?

  8. From RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com Friday, December 8, 2006 Update: Colston (sprained left ankle) did some work during practice on Friday and is '50-50' to play against Dallas on Sunday, ESPN's John Clayton reports. Recommendation: High ankle sprains have a tendency to linger, with many players sitting out four games before making a return. While Friday's individual workout is a positive, Colston is a huge gamble with a kickoff set for Sunday night against the Cowboys. We'll have the official word on his availability before Sunday's nightcap. ...choices, choices....oy Id

    Irvin disses Romo...

100% agree. Limbaugh's statement was much much more about the mainstream media's liberal biases than race. And Tom Jackson and the rest said nary a word at the time they were said. A week later, after all the tumult in the media, they branded his comments as racist when he wasn't there. Id

    Irvin disses Romo...

Agreed. My interest will be in how they do/don't address it. The race card is often misplayed, and more often than not overblown. Irvin is pretty much incompetent in most everything he talks about, except for the subject of football (though in that he can't really comment anything objectively without his Dallas/the 'U'/punk biases shining through). When he says something outrageous like this, I can't help but remember the police surveillance footage from his 'i got caught' cocaine era....oyy Id

    Irvin disses Romo...

Irvin furthers his infamous legacy in telecommunications, idiocy in general intelligence, and a generally skewed view of reality: (NOTE: please scroll down to ITEM #7 after clicking on the link below) http://www.profootballtalk.com/WeekElevenTenPack.htm ESPN is gutless if they don't act on this... id

    Trade before my trade deadline

I'd do it.... SS is a definite upgrade. Quite possibly, Chester is too, though a closer call. JMO id PS Chester has some nice matchups in week 15 and 16.

    Frank Gore

I, too am Gore owner. And i'm as equally frustrated with his lack of TD production. But I can't really blame Nolan; he fumbled Sunday in SF territory giving Seattle a very good chance to win the game. So a 212 yard rushing day by Gore for the coach to build into his future plans ends up with a big question mark indelibly attached to it. In watching Gore run, he carries the ball quite low, much like Tiki did once upon a time. Moving the ball upstairs some may help with this. In the meantime, Nolan has been using the short pass option inside the 10 yard line, and it's been working fairly well. For the time being, our only hope for TDs may be Gore taking them in from long distance (as he did 2 sundays ago). Id
