The Inequality Thread

Recommended Posts

I keep hearing from the Colin Kraepernick's and Michael Bennett's of the the world about all this inequality that exists between whites and blacks/browns. However, the term inequality is vague gibberish. Let's get down to brass tax! Where does all this supposed inequality exist? Give some hardcore specifics. Go....

It's hard to walk in another persons shoes so I try to give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Couple that with the fact there are true outright Racists out there and one can see where an African American person faces sterotypes and racism on occasion in their life.

With that said, I also believe there is a large issue of confirmation bias as it pertains to race issues going on as well. It seems people automatically assume race plays a part in any event when that is not the case more often than not. i.e. just because a white officer arrests a black person doesn't mean race is the issue, or if you see a black man and a white man arguing maybe they are just..... simply arguing. A large portion of people immediately go to the race and the race card. It's a problem because the "Boy who Cried Wolf" syndrome kicks in for the rest of us.

As far as "inequality".....in 2017 I agree that it's pretty much over. There is no more "institutional racism". Racism out there is from individuals and its the overwhelming minority of people.

The only inequality I see is between your intelligence and every other single person on the planet. You're a focking idiot.

According to the black community they can not be racist because they do not have power.

Sooooo when they call you a honkey or cracker. They are not being racist....because they don't have the power.

There are two choices,

Everyone can be poor (socialist/communists) but the government elites

We can have a spectrum of rich and poor where there is opportunity to fall anywhere on the spectrum (capitalism)

There is no option for everyone to be middle class.

Obama beat Hillary............where was the white privilege?

Kaepernick beat Alex Smith for starting job......where was the white privilege?

Russell Wilson beat Matt Flynn.........where was the white privilege?

Of course you'll hear 'they were better candidates for the job' so affirmative action is just to fix when the minority isn't the better candidate?

Black voter turnout was down 750k in 2016 from 2012. But no one will say a word about that. Hispanic voting was flat. Must have been all those Klansman and Nazis voting. Cry about your alleged negative condition and can't even get off your ass to vote. Is that inequality too?

No middle ground possible?

I think you've identified the poles correctly but there's a lot in between.

Hell we live in between right now. Yes we're definitely capitalist but we have a social safety net in place - why can't that net be more robust without turning into a totalitarian communist regime?

Well. This would have been a fantastic idea to tackle cause I think it's legit.

But come on. Crowder is dumb. And his dissection is 60% well thought out and 40% dumb

Huh. So all those unemployed loser trailer park dwelling Democrats who joined the KKK and donned hoods couldn't have been racist.

Black people mostly live in cities. Most cities have democratic mayors. The mayors are in charge of their police departments. Why don't the protesters take it up with them?

I could use some White Privilege. I'm sick of going to this shitty job for the past 25 years.

Where my EBT at?

White privilege is like the Loch Ness Monster or Sasquatch. It's only real if you believe it's real.
