A. This is not an argument to carry multiple QBs. It is an argument to carry extra RBs. Also, you should learn the English language.
B. This thread title should be re-named fantasy football "common sense."
C. There is no C.

During the draft why take a rb that's going to sit when I took a Qb and traded for a rb that had a very good season . It turn out to be a very good move .

I don't think anyone likes this strategy because in most people's leagues it's highly unlikely they are able to make the trade you're talking about.  Most people would rather take a mid-round RB/WR because they have a decent chance at being a top 12 player.  You may have a top 12 QB2 but you can't ever play him because you already have a good QB1.

If the people in your league were smart they would just let you sit there with a wasted roster spot all season.  If I was a team with a struggling QB I would rather stream QBs than give up any one of my good RBs or WRs unless I had one stashed deep on my bench.

I've got a couple gems (although you hacks will prob say it's common knowledge).  Anyone want to trade?

Gems you say? Sounds intruiging? What exactly are you looking for in trade???

No question . Can't say it always works but it has at times . It's what I do how I do it , and that's it . I am not telling everyone else to do it . I take the risk by drafting in this matter . It has worked for me more than it has not . And what others do like the others in the leagues I am in there is always Qb on the board for the taking because others are taking them backup WR and RB , and that works for them . Just trying to win my leagues and it's what works for me not making any argument that you or anyone else should do what I do . It works great for me because I like taking the chance . In my time of doing fantasy football I find that being a leader and not following what everyone else does keeps me on the winning side and that's what's important .

Some of the best teams I have had , have been because others know how I like taking extra QBs. So now they change what they do to block that move , and guess what happens , I load up on players they pass on to do so and than I still get my QBs . It works for me . Thank you

I would say have a sense of what you do well historically and what you don't. For example I'm more comfortable loading my roster w rbs, but there are players in my league who seem to juggle wrs pretty well. If your trades are hit or miss, something to think about... I used to overpay for FAS early in the season, to my detriment, now I budget so I have $ available for the playoff push.

Loading up on player Pitfall

I don't consider it a strategy, but more a problem one falls into.

With the QB position, perhaps you think you can wait a turn before getting one of x qbs. Only to find that other teams make a run on position. Worst yet, another team jumps back in and grabs a 2nd qb. You are now looking at the cease pool of the league.

What do you do?

IMO, the only reason you grab too many QB, in this situation. Is you are taking flyers on uncertain situations. Taking young QB in bulk hoping one plays like Brady, Warner, Wilson, Luck in their first season as a starter.

This also assume, that you are not weak otherwise.

Again, is a Pitfall.

May be the only reason to mock pre draft.

"My Three Sons"

Starting: 8 hacks = QB - C Wentz, RB -Thompson, A Jones,  WR -  J Nelson, Funches, Flex -  Agholor, TE - Kelce K - Haushika

Bench: 7 other hacks = QB -P Rivers,  RB - Gallman, Ty Montgomery, Ajayi, McKinnon  WR - HoganAgholor, Diggs

Scoring: NON-ppr, 0.05 per yard pass, 0.1 per yard combined, TD: 4 pass, 6 rush/rec/punt/kick

Dropped: Danny Woodhead, Antonio Gates, J  Brown, Prosise, Taccehio, JJ Nelson, Tate, D Cook, Prater,

I'm sure he used both Brady and Brees from time to time plus bye weeks . Be the scores more points than a back up RB or WR that's just taking up space . Good move on his part .

I liked following it. Although usually i end up working a ton of OT during football season and cant find time to make bets. You come out ahead every year pretty much right?

Do you honestly believe him having both of those QBs was beneficial for him?  You truly believe that using that 4th round pick on a back up QB was better than picking up a starting WR, RB or TE?  So after 4 rounds your team would be two QBs and the other two would be a WR, RB or TE.  Hopefully you would pick one WR and one RB otherwise you would be extremely weak at one of those positions.

This. Personally I'd rather take a skill position player & if he doesn't pan out, then drop your worst player to pick up a bye week fill in QB. Not to mention you're going to be second guessing yourself every week on who to start & when your bench QB scores more points than your starter it's going to annoy you.

The year that I drafted Brady and Kaepernick I was going crazy.  I started the wrong one too many times and was never able to pull off a trade.  I did this in an auction draft and all I could think about is how that money could have been spent on a better position player.  That was the only year I ever missed the playoffs in that league.

I draft with no pants on.  Not only does it distract the other drafters, but it gives you a sense of freedom that allows you to be at the top of your game.

Multiple years one of the guys streaked through the garage we were drafting in and then jumped in the pool.  Distracting.

Multiple years one of the guys streaked through the garage we were drafting in and then jumped in the pool.  Distracting.

We used to have porn playing in the background as we drafted.  Really took concentration, especially with the volume set at 50.

For three years running I have been the points champ in 1 auction league. It is a total redraft league. I play the strength of schedule game and only draft from teams with the same two bye weeks. I draft a double starting roster with 1 qb from bye week (for example) 5 and another qb with a bye week of say 7. All my RB's and WR's fit into these same bye weeks allowing me to submit a full line up each week. I pick the bye weeks based on high power teams with a weak schedule. I have no idea why it works but 3 yrs running as points champ is proof enough for me.

Interesting strategy. You mention being points champ but how has that equated to winning the league championship? That gives you a bye week boost but what does your team look like for the playoff run?

3 years running and no ship. The good news is the biggest money is for the points so I am happy. Would like to win one but the cash is nice.

You get more money for the points than the championship? Priorities need to be addressed.

I think points show more about the team than getting lucky in the end. In my opinion it it should be split 50/50

Agree . In a total points league it goes the whole season most points wins most money .

Just to revisit the 3 QB draft strategy topic......

This was the ideal year to use it.

I had Big Ben, Rivers, and Cousins. Traded Rivers when he was hot for Allen Robinson and Woodhead to the Manning owner (standard league) and it panned out well for me.

I drafted Cam and Rivers. Added Dalton off waivers early in the season.  Traded Rivers and a WR to a needy team who had some depth at RB, which I didn't have.  Worked out for both of us.  Unfortunately, you can't always find the right partner.

Not sure that I would call them secrets.  I have strategies that are applicable to the leagues that I am playing in.  Some I share, some I don't.  If I am particularly high or low on a player, I don't typically shy away from commenting about it here.  I don't think that players in my league are going to make their decisions based on what they read here, if they were to come here.

I try to be the last one to make the playoffs, giving me priority in waivers. I won both my leagues. I was sixth to make playoffs in both.

Come on. You try and pick which playoff spot you get? Its hard enough just to make the playoffs. Your league doesnt notice you throwing games when you are a higher seed?

Understand that it's worked for you and that is fine.  Conceptually, I'd rather target guys that I like/want rather than those that I think others may need/want.  In start one QB leagues, there are just so many viable options - especially now that the league is pass happy.

I had $6 in my pocket and a ticket for a cross country bus from Washington State. So, I bought two 6-packs of Olympia Beer and got on the bus. If some guy hadn't given me a Snickers Bar in Chicago... I wouldn't have made it.

Things I do that I have no proof or information that this does anything whatsoever.....

Never start one of my players against my own defense

Never start a kicker on the same team of one of my skill players.
