Ok, I went and played poker pub (free poker) yesterday

Recommended Posts

I'll skip the details, one guy went all in with a gutshot and got me to fold second pair, another guy flopped a set of nines and when I folded and said "Your set of sevens is good." He turned over his cards and said, "Wrong! Nines!" and was just being an annoying little pr!ck. It's free poker right? And I'm the new guy ... so whatever. Then this hand happens. I get A,Ks and the flop comes K, 7, 3 ... I bet 1k. He raises it to 2k, this girl calls, I go all in and he turns to her right away and says, "How good is your hand?" and she said, "Well, I got something but ..." and I said. "Whoah ... that's collusion. You guys can't talk about your hands." And they said. "We have cards, so we can talk. We just can't say what we have." The TD was right there, so I asked him for a ruling and he said "general" statements about your hand are OK. Never seen anything like it. Open collusion, allowed. At any rate, the guy who flopped a set of nines against me 30 minutes earlier had flopped a set of sevens this time. He called saying he thought I was just on a "flush draw" and the girl folded. I got knocked out.

Apparently I qualified for a free rebuy as a newb, but I turned it down and left. I really do have better things to do with my time than participate in a game for no money, where it's OK to cheat.

IMO, if someone slow rolls you (different from slow playing, it's when you pretend you are beat and then TADA, you show your cards as the other person is reaching for the chips), they deserve to get their ass kicked. Open collusion ... you might get banned from the casino.

You are not dead yet? I thought for sure some teenage girls dad would have shot and killed you for sure by now.
