Allen Robinson WR1 believe the hype.

Recommended Posts

There is a certain type of mold for a successful NFL receiver. Taking in to account (to mention a few) age, height, weight & college production including market share of targets between 20's and red zone targets for his team, Robinson fits the mold of what makes a a successful #1 WR in the NFL. Robinson is an alpha-type player that is the future of the franchise. If you can get him in dynasty, this may be your last chance. Kids gonna be a baller. He had 10 targets week 3 and imo Bortles will make this guy fantasy relevant.

I'd have to drop Justin Hunter for him and I'm reluctant to do that since he's the next AJ Green.

Not to discredit the post above, more of just a FYI...

Jerry Rice today is listed between 6'1-6'2

In actuality, he is MAYBE 5'9.

In all seriousness, I'm gonna have to stream a flex this week. Haven't really thought too long about it but did see Lee is gonna miss week 4. Gotta think JAX will be down in this game and should get some garbage time points. Anybody know how much Robinson was targeted with Bortles?

After this week...back to the ww though.

I'm not saying short WR suck but the list is much smaller. Durability is also a factor. Brown was the only one in the top 10. Harvin,Cruz,Ty Hilton these guys are boom bust type WR every week. When u look for a week in week out WR and a guy that won't get hurt cause of his size then you probably want to go with the guys who are taller and weight more.

I dont think its pure BS. Lot of those guys played 10-20 years ago. I believe the game is getting better-faster and taller. I would take a bog body type over little everyday. Look at Kelvin B already making a splash. Jimmy Graham on that list above too.

This is 100% the correct answer.

Dude read his original post. He claims the following in red. Silly assumptions warrant appropriate responses.

The only pure BS is "alpha type player." OP has no clue is hes an alpha or not and more to the point the OP does not know what an "alpha male" even is.

i cant believe im saying this, but u r all being a little hard on bobby here.

hell, at least he's not asking his usual 'who should i start' questions.

cut him some slack for tryn to start a conversation, maybe poorly, about a WR we should be keeping an eye on maybe.

In all due respect, what he said was silly. Who makes those kinds of assumptions?

Tyrone Calico 6'4

Haha wow...it's funny you mention him....me and my father have been partners in a high stakes league for years....the other day we were reminiscing about guys from the early/mid 2000s....guys like calico and Marcel shipp....bunch of others...remember calico messing up his knee and he never recovered...shame such a short career

I believe Robinson had 8 targets in the Second half from bortles. So did shorts. Hard to glean a whole lot in catchup mode although it's a mode the Jaguars should be in often.
