The Skinny Addition

Good information.

How does Tim Wright impact the Patriots?

He's not as big as Aaron Hernandez, doesn't block that well, and has even had some drops early this preseason...and having said that he seems like he could be a sneaky good PPR TE this year and can be had in the last round in most drafts

This was actually a test question. The correct answer is what you said minus Jimmy Graham. JG or any TE for that matter. should not be taken in the 1st round this year or the last 20 years.

I still laugh at friends who used to take Antonio Gates in the 1st round.

One other reason I don't like Graham this year is he just got paid. I've been burned by this theory a lot over of the years. I'm sure some disagree, though.

Interesting article on Rotoworld supporting the drop off of players once they get paid. It also debunks the 'he's in his contract year so he'll do well' theory.

To Skinny; I agree with you on Brees and pose a question. In a 1 pt PPR league, 15 yds per passing pt, 6 pt passing TDs, 3 pt bonuses at 300 & 400 yards, how early would you take Brees?

Was just in a draft (at the 4th spot) where Manning went #1 (J. Charles went #2) and Rodgers went #3. Would you have taken Brees with the 4th pick?

I agree (obviously by my team in my sig).

Funny thing though; by the three of us taking the Top 3 QBs in the first 4 picks, it shorted out the guys drafting in the later spots. There was a run on the next tier QBs after the turn allowing A.J. Green to fall to me at 2.7.

The evidence does not seem to apply to TE's

Gate's best season wasn't even close to Graham. Gate's best season was 1,100 and 9 TD. JG was 1,200, 16 TD. Name me how many RB ran for 1,200 yards and 16 TD last season? Will he repeat? Who knows, i say his chances are better than Montee (1st round expectations - 1,400, 13+ TD) doing anything special this season.

Gates actually had 10 TD's that year and 964yds 13td the year before.

I know there's a lot of support for taking Graham in the 1st round. In my mind, last year is probably going to be Graham's "career year". What some are doing is taking a TE in the 1st round coming off a career year who just got paid. I don't think that's a very good formula.

Those who took Graham in the 2nd round the last two years obviously got excellent value. This year, I believe those who take Graham are going to wind up with a 1st round pick who's going to give them 2nd round value.

Two more minor things: Graham's #'s fell off the 2nd half of the season both last year and in 2012. Plus, he always seems to have a nagging injury or two.

Just my .02.

I am going to ask my questions indirectly. For the answer has more value to me than player A vs B.

KC Offensive Line -

1. At end of preseason, does KC have an Oline Unit or do they have a problem to solve?

2. Did the offense improve, stay the course, or go flat this offseason?

3. am I wrong in thinking they will regress this season?

Philadelphia Offense,

1. Can they continue their style of offense? Will it become more dynamic.

2. Can Sproles replace DJAX. Or is there someon in their receiving corps that can do this?

3. How does having to receving rbs affect individual stats.

4. Am I wrong in thinking the Eagles will suxor this year..

Green Bay

1. Does Rodges return (health) mean more or less for GB running backs

Bears

1. Can Cutler stay healthy. If not, can Jimmy Clausen be called upon to lead the Bears as well as Josh McCown did last season?

2. Will their Defense force them to throw themselves back into the game? Or will their offense exploded quickly enough for this not to be as big a concern?

They gave away a leader for him. I don't think they would do it unless they can get great values return. Belicheat and team love to prove others wrong. Wright needs to be added if you haven't.

Without a doubt. 5,200 yards and 42 TD the last 3 seasons. Consistency from your studs are key to making it to the playoffs in fantasy football. Name me another player that finishes in the top 3 in their positions the last 3 seasons.

How many games will Gronk play in?

What are your predictions for his stat line?

I'll be lying if I knew. When healthy he's a 90 yards and 1 TD per game guy. That's just sick.

Late first between 10 thru 12 really isn't any different then early 2nd. The RB and WR drop off is only 5 players difference. Graham in late first is where he should to be drafted. I've seen some really good teams with graham going late first. We are talking about a player that can create a 8-12 points differential in your favor every week.

I draft 11th in a league where you can play a QB in the flex (OP). Let's assume that I have to choose between a Big 3 QB and Graham at 11 - who would you choose? And let's assume both are gone by 14...

Can you tell me your league scoring?

1 point PPR?

6 point passing TD?

What about bonus?

If Brees or Manning is there i would go with one of them then pray that Graham come up to you in round 2.

If it's Rodgers, i would take Graham simply because of the Stacy factor.

In a league that gives return yardage and P.P.R. will Patterson and Harvin be top 5 at the wide receiver position?

No, i like Patterson but i'm not buying the hype, i think he will be inconsistent throughout the season putting him slightly outside of the top 10 this season. I have Harvin catching less than 80 receptions this season.

List the top ten running backs for P.P.R.

Charles

Forte

McCoy

ADP

Lacy

Arrington

Lynch

Lacy

Gio Bernard

L. Bell

Foster

1 P.P.R., who is going to finish with how many receiving yards in Pittsburgh to parlay your last answer.

I really like Big Ben this season. I think he's going to have a great season.

Brown - 1,500 yards

Wheaton - 800 yards

L. Moore - 600 yards

Miller - 900 yards

Bell - 500 yards

Sprinkle in 300-400 yards for the others.

Non-PPR. 4pts for passing TDs. 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, K, DST, Flex (RB/WR/TE), Flex (OP). 3pt bonus for 100yds+ Rushing or Receiving. No passing bonus.

In a 4-point TD with no passing bonus league, i would go with Graham and then go RB. Your league is tailored to RB.
