Ray_T 587 Posted September 19, 2018 I see Demaryius Thomas is having a slow start. Lots of targets but not a lot of catches or yards. I never got to watch the games.... do any homers have any insight as to what's going on here?

I never got to watch the games.... do any homers have any insight as to what's going on here? Demaryius is part of the great receiver heist of 2015 when him, Julio Jones, AJ Green, and Dez Bryant held their teams hostage for huge deals so that they could care less about football after they got paid. Green probably has looked the best imo, but he has been hurt most years since signing. The rest just seem like they don't care as much as they once did. With the Cap going up like it has, the hits aren't eating up as much of a percentage like they have been, but it still isn't a reason to stop playing as hard. Besides him not playing up to his contract, his qb kind of sucks. Keenum had the best year he could have ever dreamed of last year. He really wasn't as good as the numbers said and he is showing it was unwise to put the franchise on his back so far. I personally like Sanders much more. He always seems like he is giving more effort than Thomas.
Mullog 12 Posted September 19, 2018 Not a homer but I have Sanders so I've been watching the Denver games. From what I can tell Thomas just looked slow last week. In general he's having trouble getting open/creating separation and takes too long to get downfield. Still, I think he's a solid WR2 or even better WR3. Last week's production was off (I think he dropped a couple of targets) but he did okay in week 1.

weepaws 2,451 Posted September 19, 2018 He’s getting targets, but not much ff points when he drops the ball.
Crystal Meth Tweekers 26 Posted September 19, 2018 How about his RB situation? I saw a few Freeman runs. Seems Lindsay is getting more action.

I still think Freeman has a lot of potential in this league. I doubt Lindsey can maintain his work load at his size, but maybe? He should be used more as a pass catcher. It's also hard since Keenum is the QB.
The Bard 11 Posted September 20, 2018 2 good rookie rb's. Whoever does more with the carries, reguardless of blocking, will get more touches.
wizbang 10 Posted September 20, 2018 I put my money on Sanders. Thomas looks suddenly slow.

DT doesn't have any acceleration anymore and just tries to out-muscle DBs at this point. Sanders (who I got two rounds later in my 12-teamer) just seems energized and showed chemistry with Keenum during the pre-season. Deep down, I think the Broncos' braintrust would love to make Courtland Sutton the number 2 WR. That kid has star written all over him.
