I'm surprised Philly and Camden aren't on the list, and at how few are cities in the Northeast.

the common thread is poverty, segregation and manufacturing jobs that have left the cities. there are many, many cities that are mostly populated by blacks that are safe. those areas also happen to be wealthy ones.

Alright, name these "many, many cities that are mostly populated by blacks that are safe. those areas also happen to be wealthy ones".

Also, it's not poverty. West Virginia and rural Vermont are extremely poor. Crime is minimal there. The trite line that poverty creates crime is cliche. Crime creates poverty because business and industrious people flee the war zone.

As far as segregation goes, Asians were exceptionally segregated throughout American history and many continue to reside in Chinatowns. Chinatown and Asian crime in general is minimal.

Because Asian culture has a very high work ethic engrained into it. People who work their @ss offf every day to better themselves and their families rarely commit violent crimes against their neighbors.

It's not just culture. It's mainly genetics. Same for the common trend among the most dangerous cities.

Citrus Heights. Lots of meth heads and herpes going on there. Just ask TNG if you don't believe me.

If I recall from my visit there, that Orange place was a hell hole. :shudder:

It's culture. Black Americans suffer from bad habits and poor ethics passed down from generation to generation.

Peenie is right that the real correlation in those cities is poverty. And I agree with loss of manufacturing jobs. But the part about "segregation".?. Sounds like Al Sharpton anger retoric.

Does Buffalo have a lot of black people?

Also, the whole "drug corridor" thing got a bit old. Umm, yeah, it is a big city, which means roads go through it to other places, so it is a corridor. Phoenix and Dallas are big drug corridors; didn't see them listed. :dunno:

Not true. It is genetic, so more AA = more crime, period. They can't control themselves.

Please tell me you're joking.

I'm not serious, but my conclusion should be correct if the relationship between race and crime is as simplistic as some posters posit.

I've been down this road with Moz before... you won't get anywhere. He stubbornly refuses to admit there is more to it than just the numbers. :wall:
