Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Economic Genius

I think this is a bad move... everyone uses Amazon... don't fock with Amazon. You might as well fock with water.

yah its true, funny thing is lets say they raise taxes on Amazon, do people really think Amazon isn't going to just I don't know raise the taxes on the products, or maybe remove things from the free shipping list, or charge sales tax on more products that they already don't

Gas taxes here in California going up, it costs me money, so it costs my consumers money, we raised our prices 10$

In Seattle the City Council keeps raising property taxes to help "solve" the affordable housing problem, but then are surprised when landlords pass the increased cost on to renters in the form of higher rents. They are so short sighted they can't see the obvious result from all their attempts at fixing everything by simply raising taxes on evil property owners.

Nobody has ever accused Democratic lawmakers of being intelligent.

Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed this weekend that she has no idea what the three branches of the U.S. government are during a conference call with prospective far-left political candidates.

"If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress — uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House," Ocasio-Cortez said on Saturday while on a call with Justice Democrats.

The three branches, not chambers, of the U.S. government, are the executive, legislative, and judicial.

Doesn't matter. She checks a number of required liberal checkboxes but intelligence is not on that list. That's not a requirement for being a Democrat (obviously).

Democratic Socialist darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Friday said fellow progressives’ and her election victory – in an overwhelmingly Democratic district – was akin to the 1969 moon landing and the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Her and Trump are in a competition on who can say the most outrageous lie.

That's all that matters.

Ocasio-Cortez called out for claiming Pentagon $$ error could fund Medicare for all

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was roundly fact-checked this week -- by even liberal-leaning publications -- for suggesting a reported $21 trillion in Pentagon accounting errors could fund most of her proposed "Medicare for all" health care program.

As left-wing Vox explained: The Pentagons accounting errors are genuinely enormous, but theyre also just accounting errors -- they dont represent actual money that can be spent on something else.

Underscoring the disconnect between the original story and Ocasio-Cortez's Twitter claim, Vox continued: "Indeed, there simply hasnt been $21 trillion in (nominal) Defense Department spending across the entirety of American history."

Representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized the disparities in healthcare offered to regular citizens and lawmakers and advocated reforming the healthcare system.

"In my on-boarding to Congress, I get to pick my insurance plan," the incoming New York legislator tweeted on Saturday evening.

"As a waitress, I had to pay more than TWICE what Id pay as a member of Congress. Its frustrating that Congressmembers would deny other people affordability that they themselves enjoy. Time for #MedicareForAll."

This is true, congress knew what a pile of excrement the Affordable Care Act was by way of example and sought to exclude themselves from it, they are only too happy to punish the people while they exclude themselves from it. That they would seem to not be impacted by costs such as healthcare is no big surprise.

This is true, congress knew what a pile of excrement the private insurance market is because they created it at the behest of the insurance lobbyists and like exclude themselves from it

The insurance mess is sue to mostly to government interference, if they would just get the fock out of it, it will eventually moderate....

Without government interference the free market would continue to deliver a healthcare system thats overpriced and delivers poor outcomes with millions of uninsured. The free market has failed on healthcare for 30+ years.
