Blaming prices on liberalism? Prices that have been rising over the last year?

The owner may be an obnoxious politically active dweeb but it's still his prerogative how much he wants to sell his coffee for. Whatever the rest of us think doesn't factor in.

Does your wife get you some on her way home from work?

Its pretty bad and usually tastes burnt. They did come up with a Blonde Roast thats more like regular coffee vs their usual, which was a dark roast. Nothing special over any other coffee chain or private coffee shop though.

My issue with Starbucks is theyre always backed up and seem to have one cashier and one barista with a line of 15 at any time. Im not waiting a half hour for a cup of coffee.

I used to hang out at a bar right next door to a very bustling Starbucks. Hell, maybe they all are. But what struck me was the number of kids. The same parents who won't let their kids have gluten or peanuts or even get a dirty look have no problem spending seven or eight dollars shoving pure sugar and caffeine down their kids throat. And of course, I'm sure they use that to wash down the Ritalin.

Ship, we didn't even get on brand soda pop. I wouldn't even think to ask for this crap from my parents. And if I did? Jesus.

Honest to God, I'm thinking through this scenario. Even when I was working two and three jobs in the summer and had my own money, if I showed up with one of these $7 sugar bombs? I could hear it right now. "Oh, looks like mr. Moneybags can afford to buy his own dinner from now on..."

Prices do tend to rise over time as costs increase, it just happens.... :dunno:

I shake my head at the sheep that wait for starbucks at the airport for instance, when there is a good caribou coffee close by. The sheepiness of most americans is quite remarkable.

Of course I am generally a regular black coffee guy, or once in a while maybe a latte....and I get my $1 large black coffee from McDonalds and it's pretty darn good for me

You know, you would have thought that when they increase their customer base to people who could just come in and not order anything, they wouldn't have to raise their prices. They could just make it up in volume.

I admit to being a Starbucks junkie, it is the one excess I allow myself, the mocha latte is my vice. I typically start each day with one.

If I am not "out" or just staying home or whatever I usually just make coffee at home, if I cannot find a bucks, I just hit dunkin, or mcdonals, wawa......what ever..

I like their flat whites. I wanna try the blonde flat white, espresso con panna, and cordusio. The cordusio looks and sounds really good.

I just stopped at a McDonalds for my afternoon CoffeeButterTM

Tried out the new self service computer

Order the $1 coffee

Wait 15 minutes for them to brew a fresh pot and forget about me to the point I had to walk behind the line and pour it myself

Never again. I'll pay the extra $1 to get a fresh cup from Starbucks that is ready in seconds.

I used to hang out at a bar really close to a Starbucks. Right next door actually. I was amazed at how many kids we're going into Starbucks. More kids than adults.

First, I never had $8 to buy a fuucking coffee. But then again I guess nothing has value when you're using a Starbucks card that Mommy and Daddy buy you once a month.

Now I understand why the diabetes rates are so freaking High. kids were walking out with 36 oz of whipped cream with a shot of espresso on top.

For a quick coffee in the mornings, I grab the Starbucks K cups from the grocery store. Usually a blonde roast like the Verona or the sky blend

My morning drink is water. Lots of water. To each their own, tho

I did not start drinking it until I was 30, really enjoyed having a warm drink in the morning, I really don't need the caffeine and will often defer to decaf where it is available. In the afternoon I like to have a quick hot chocolate before I head out on the road to go home.

I have tried tea, but it hasn't "taken" yet for me.

Worth it. Although I don't usually go to a starbucks location but I do buy it off the shelf and brew it at home. I also sometimes buy petes, seattles best, dunkin donuts, etc. The good stuff. I don't mind paying 8-10 bucks for a bag of coffee because the god stuff definitely tatstes better and has more caffiene.

So if they raise the price I'm still drinking it.

I don't need you to tell me how good my coffee is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping she buys . I buy the gourmet expensive stuff because when I drink it I want to taste it.
