My first attempt going WR-WR, and I went ahead and went with a 3rd WR while I was at it. What do ya think?

You've got ball taking three rec off the bat, but you got 3 great rec. I think this is R. Wayne's year to step into Harrison's role, don't get me wrong Harrison's the man. I think Rhodes will be the #2 RB by game 4. If you can, go get his backup. I like Delhomme

of course I like the Receiver core, but the RB's make me nervous. Still those were good spots to pick up Wayne and C Taylor, and I'm not sure who you still could of picked up by the 34th pick, Reggie Bush? I'm curious to see how your league drafted.

Your team proves the rule for why to draft RB/RB.

Good luck with zero RB depth and when one of your top WR's get injured you'll at least get a good seat on the sidelines.

You don't think it is very good then? I should add that we start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DST

Depth? Taylor, T. Jones, Rhodes, De. Williams, Maroney? 5 backs seems pretty deep, and I expect Williams or Maroney to be getting a ton of time by midseason.

Not sure what the WR injury comment means, since I do have Coles & Bryant behind those big 3.

Landing Taylor was a must for you, and you got him, but you are putting a lot of weight on his shoulders. You have quite a few RB on the roster, but quantity does not mean quality, you have to hope that one of those RBs, in a RBBC situation, turns into the unquestioned starter. But I have to say that in a similar situation last year, I was able to win my league, with no RB depth at all. But I had starting WR of Fitz, Boldin, Holt, and CJ, bottom line the PPR can almost even out WR and RB. Good luck.

Thanks, and I agree that landing Taylor is vital to this plan. I'm not sure where I expect him to go in my draft on Friday night, but if I decide to roll the dice on this WR-WR idea, I hope he makes it. Frankly, my league is making it virtually impossible for me to go WR-WR, because I know that at least 2 NON-RBs are going in the top 9, and I think I might even get to choose between Portis and Steven Jackson at 10. How the hell do I pass that up!

If you were at my draft I would pay your entry fee. I respect pulling the trigger on WR-WR, but still, RBs drive the boat.

The Wayne pick is interesting since I am not sure what type of upgrade you would have gotten at RB. Taylor is OK as RB2, but he is your RB1 - and that could hurt you.

And I have no idea why you KEPT DRAFTING WRs - and I think THIS is ultimately what causes problems.

If you get 3 studs at WR in the first 3 picks - FORGET THE POSITION UNTIL the last 4 picks. You should have loaded up on upside backs: Addai, Dillon, Dunn, ANY of the RBBCs - essentially, more of the Maroney pick. MUCH MORE.

On paper this team seems better than it is because the reality of a Taylor/Jones backfield has not set in yet and the warm fuzzy feeling coming from having Smith/Holt/Wayne is acting as an anestehic.

But when it does (and it will) those WRs will be ALL over the trading block.

Thats is a really good point actually. Thanks for that.

I'm just still so nervous about burning a 1st or 2nd rounder on a bust in the form of one of those backs. I know the WR will perform up to their usual level. Look at the late 1st RBs from last year? We were all talking up those guys as well, and tons of teams went down the shitter because of it.

With my draft only 2 night away, I have now decided to abandon my WR-WR dream, and will take Portis or Steve Jackson at #10. I have reason to believe one or both of these will be available to me.

Same thing happens with WR.

Two words: Javon Walker.

I think you had a very nice draft. Only thing I would've done differently was go for a TE earlier. Wayne at 34 is great value, he could become the Colts WR1 this year just as Holt took over from Bruce.

I would offer DeAngelo to the Foster owner, Maroney to the Dillon owner, or Rhodes to the Addai owner for one of his other starting RBs. Or ask those same owners what it would take to get Foster/Dillon/Addai. You don't need stud RBs to win when you have three top WRs to carry you in PPR, you just need to make sure your RBs are starters and will get you pts. If you think Foster/Dillon will get hurt, use that argument to get a better RB from their owner. You can trade one of your stud WRs later if you want for a stud RB but I don't think you have to yet. Also, try to upgrade your TE since it looks like some owners may have 2 TEs.

I'd stay far away from Portis, you think defenders aren't gonna take shots at his injured shoulder?

I plan on using a similar strategy and hope to get a team like yours!

Um, about 10 words for you. Domanick Davis Jamal Lewis Willis McGahee Julius Jones Ahman Green.

You produced one guy, and he got a season ending injury. These guys were healthy or in and out, generally speaking, and just flat out busted. If you picked these guys in the 1st and 2nd round last year, you didn't win the championship most likely.
