leftyguitar 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Hey guys, We're in the 5th round, I've got the fourth pick of a 10 team league. So far my team is: Tomlinson, Westbrook Holt, Wayne I'm leaning towards solidifying my WR corps, but concerned about QB... I won't be picking for a while after this one so I want to get the most value I can get. Top WR's left: Djax, Roy Williams, Galloway, Driver, Horn, Housh Top RB's left: Droughns, Mcallister, Kevin Jones, Dillon Top QB's left: Palmer, Eli Manning, McNabb, Bulger, Culpepper... (pretty much all of them except Peyton, Brady, and Hasselbeck.) What would the best value pick be? Scoring breakdown: 1pt per 10yards rushing / recieving, 6pts per rush/recieve TD. 1pt per 25yds passing, 4 pts per thrown TD, -2 per INT, -2 per fumble lost. NO PPR. Thanks guys, leave a link and I'll try to help you out!
c_Weezie 3 Posted August 16, 2006 Since QBs are a little less favored than RBs and WRs. And since you start 3 WRs, I would probably get a WR. BUT with the quality of Rbs that are available, I would get Rueben Droughns b/c you never know when it comes to Westbrook. Then on the way back target Donald Driver, he should still be there and he is a top #10 WR this year. The grab the best available QB and TE the next 2 rounds. Good Luck
Keyser Sose 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Grab a consistent top flight QB now, you're solid at WR and WR3 will be easy to grab later in the draft. Other option: grab Shockey/Heap if on the board.
c_Weezie 3 Posted August 16, 2006 Grab a consistent top flight QB now, you're solid at WR and WR3 will be easy to grab later in the draft. The fact is that there are no conisistent top flight QB w/o major ???s right now. I dont see the value of getting a major ??? when you can get a two-headed monster consisiting of Jake Delhomme and a guy like Kurt Warner A LOT later in the draft. Hardly anyone can make it without a solid #3 RB, especially w/ an injury prone #2 RB (westy). I say grab Rueben, or KJ if you want to gamble. Then its your choice, I would contemplate taking a TE only if Shockey or Heap are there, if not, take Driver he will be a #10 WR. Which is pretty d@mn good for your #3 WR. leftyguitar 0 Posted August 16, 2006 hmm, shockey just got taken, but heap is still there along with mcmichael, gonzo, crumpler, heath miller, witten, cooley, lj smith, vernon davis... i mean, i think after gates, the remaining guys are pretty even. Out of the remaining QB's which do you think is the best bet? (like I said, only Peyton, Brady, and Hasselbeck are taken so far.)
Keyser Sose 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Palmer will be solid.

enjoi525 0 Posted August 18, 2006 I take it you took driver, but i think dillon was the choice. If he or any of those other backs are available on the next pick i suggest taking one. I rate the as: Dillon KJ (I think he will bouce back) Droughns (because they are on their 4th center and the season hasn't started) McAllister (guys come off serious injury tend not to do so well the following year + Bush)
