Why would John Goodman

Recommended Posts

Clooney was great in E/R... Too bad it didn't last long...

I forgot how great this show was........ Have been watching (sparingly) some reruns.

No matter what we think of Roseanne, John Goodman had good rapport with her and they must surely like each other for him to want to come back. Also, maybe he likes being Dan Connor and wants to revisit him. He realizes he has more of Dan's story to tell.

Whoa.

I knew of the first series, but had no idea Clooney was in it. Props to Posty for that little nugget of trivia.

Oh man, totally.......... There's some drama/romance stuff, but it's mostly hospital action, some of it intense.

ER is a pretty good show... It has some episodes that suck (like most series do), but I think the earlier episodes were pretty good... It kind of lost its footing when Anthony Edwards left IMO...

Watched early ER and one scene stuck with me.

Garret Morris was playing an annoying patient and was told the nurse had to take his temperature rectally and to lay face down

When the camera panned out there was a tulip* sticking out of his naked black ass.

*or some other flower. Funny stuff.

I thought they killed his charachter off ? I didn't watch the show. I was too busy fighting and having sex back then.

I was holding out hope for a Good Times reboot, but then I heard about the Florida shooting. :(

Even those Big Bang theory get a million an episode I think. Including Gallecki who was also on Roseanne. Salaries are just inflated everywhere on tv. Look at nfl QBs. Highest paid players ever are garropallo, Carr, cousins soon and Stafford? A joke.

This is a great Point. Galecki was in a couple movies. Couple good ones. But just because he was and just because he's a freaking multi-millionaire sure as hell doesn't make him an actor of the kind and caliber of John Goodman.

I can't help but always picture Eriq Lasalle (sp?) as the Soul Glow d0uchebag in Coming to America. No matter what he is in I still picture that oily hair.

Edit: referring to ER

Good call.

Also, probably less than one in 10,000 people know that Matt Damon was in an episode of Will & Grace.

Even fewer among hetero males.

Goodman is paying respect to the history and legacy of the comedy series that truly enhanced his profile as an actor. He wouldn't be as rich as he is without "Roseanne" and might have fallen off the map without it. Yes, the guy had his fair share of supporting roles in lesser movies before that show, but never once in a leading role in bigger movies until that show became a hit.

Right. Every one of those 3 dwarfs Goodmans big screen accomplishments.

You understand the difference between a guest starring gig and a regular gig right? Jesus ###### Christ.

Murphy, Murray, Martin and Meyers were all regular cast members on SNL.

Rogan and Franco were the 2 of the stars of Freaks and Geeks

Johnny Depp was the star of 21 Jump street

Freeman starred on the Electic Company from 71-77

Tommy Lee starred on One Life to Live from 71-75

Perhaps its you who doesnt understand the difference?

Thor has since pointed out 4 other mega stars who had regular tv gigs who went on to do more than Goodman ever dreamed of.

Face it. You were off the mark with your assessment.

For just one thread, try not to be that stubborn geek who can never admit he was wrong.

I will readily admit that. And I've admitted to being wrong many times. But here's the deal, it meant that you Google the out of that. Like you know that Morgan Freeman was on blank show for blank years. Oh go fuc yourself. But I mean that in the most Christian way.
