    Jaguars Defense

Am I silly for considering benching the Steelers DST (vs Josh Allen) and starting the Jaguars DST (vs Tyrod Taylor)?

    Vernon Davis

Where is he? Something happen? What's up with the goose egg?

So who are we starting out of the OAK backfield?

The good thing is that Reece is one of the high character guys in the locker room and has worked his but off to become a complete FB while keeping the same skills that he had as a WR in college.

So who are we starting out of the OAK backfield?

Well, with Taiwan taking all the 1st team snaps he'll get his carries this week, especially since Palmer is excited about his opportunity. I'm starting Jones and placing Reece in my Flex. If Flacco and Troy Smith pick on Michael Huff like the Bucs did last week, we may see the Raiders playing catchup yet again. So they'll both be used. Palmer loves to dump it off to the TE and RB's if nothing is available downfield.

    Goodson out... so Reece?

I'm gonna roll with Jones at RB and Reece in my Flex since McFadden is out and Dez Bryant's hip is acting up too. Hoping for the best.

    Goodson out... so Reece?

Homer here and here's the deal: Marcel Reece is now a producer on the Raiders offense each week. Palmer will throw to who he trusts and those receivers include TE Myers, WR Denarius Moore, and FB Marcel Reece. WR's Darius Heyward-Bey and Denarius Moore are up and coming talents but they continue to be inconsistent catchers and route runners but Palmer continues to give them chances. Reece is also playing at multiple positions (RB/FB/TE/WR) and will continue to do so for the remainder of the season. He has gradually produced more and more as the season has progressed. Reece should average about 50 receiving yards per game with a TD here and there. He is a good bye week fill-in this week since the Raiders will be passing on the Ravens depleted defense and will be playing catch-up if Flacco, Rice, and Troy Smith get on a role. If McFadden is out, he will be depended upon to execute draw and screen plays to help keep the aggressive defense honest and limit Palmer back hitting the dirt. He did this with success as the Raiders attempted their comeback in the 4th quarter of last weeks game playing not only at FB and RB but he also lined up in the slot on multiple occasions. If McFadden is out, I'd be confident with starting Reece at RB or even at RB/WR Flex. I have McFadden and I'm weary of starting him this week too. My flex RB is out (Packers RB Green) so I might throw Reece in the mix.
  7. He might be a HOF lock but there will be a large "*" right next to it. But I give him credit for taking over and helping an organization become relevant again in this decade. Many coaches have had that opportunity with many teams and many players and have failed. I'd like to see if he can do the same with another team with less talent like Mangini has with two teams now. I feel like Bellichick was handed a good team on a silver platter. If Mangini can get the Browns to the Superbowl , then we'll have a debate. But one game says nothing.

    Jacoby Ford

Not really. If it's a close game, Campbell will continue to start. it's not just black and white. Campbell has done a good job of managing the game with minimal mistakes along with a team that is playing better from week to week. He's in a new system (again) and now getting comfortable. He's on a 3 game winning streak and that says a lot especially on this team. His only issue is that he starts off slow each week. He needs to come out firing on all cylinders against the Steelers before they take a commanding lead that they can't come back from after half time.

    Jacoby Ford

In this offense, a new receiver has showed up on different weeks. Temper your expectations on Jacoby Ford. He helped THE Raiders win big this week and Campbell found trust in a new receiver. But with the bye week here now, the team is expecting returns from both Louis Murphy and Chaz Schilens (Chaz is still recovering very slowly though). If anything Ford, will return to WR3/Slot position. I'd pick him up with a wait and see approach. He could turn out to be used the way the Colts use their slot receiver with the way Hue Jackson is getting comfortable with opening up the playbook... or he could have many up and down games similar to previous weeks. You never know right now as this passing offense continues to find it's identity. And Campbell will start after the bye. Cable said he's going to stick with the hot hand regardless of if Gradkowski is healthy after the bye. He changed his mind from what he said the previous week. Pick up of the week is Khalif Barnes... he's a beast!

    Dwayne Bowe

Raiders fan here... Wanted to pass on the news that Asomugha is doubtful this week so all of you with Dwayne Bowe should start him with confidence. Not sure if he'll get great numbers with the way Stanford Routt and Chris Johnson have brought their A-game the last 2 weeks but with Asomugha out, Bowe has a chance to get at least 50 and a TD.

    Are the Raiders for real?

What he said ^^^ I love the Raiders but they still have a lot to prove next week and after the bye. But hey, these last two games have been the best two weeks in Raider football since the end of 2008, so I'll take it.

Go Raiders! Oh and I told you so.

And Brandon Lloyd put up a 100yds again this week after posting a goose egg last week while covered by Asomugha.
