posty 2,296 Posted July 26, 2018 Nice job by MLB and the Orioles last night. play a game for 26 mins when you know there is no chance of getting the game in No wonder MLB is losing fans in droves. Sh1t like this is despicable. The league has nothing to do with it... The home team decides if the game should be started or not and the umpiring crew decides on delays and calling the game... edjr 5,563 Posted July 26, 2018 The league has nothing to do with it... The home team decides if the game should be started or not and the umpiring crew decides on delays and calling the game... MLB allows it, so yes they do have something to do with it do they not have doppler in Baltimore?
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted July 26, 2018 The other issue is that the Sox were up 5-0. If the home team decides to start a game and they are losing, then make them finish the game from that point. If they are winning, then you can have it be started from scratch.

Hardcore troubadour 12,631 Posted July 26, 2018 Yankees getting Happ from Toronto. Not earth shattering, but an improvement over the back end they have been putting out there. Gray just lost his spot if they make it to a playoff series.

Gray just lost his spot if they make it to a playoff series. I like it. Happ isnt a star, but hes a solid middle of the rotation guy. The Yankees didnt give up anything for him. Brandon Drury is never going to see the field now that Andujar is here. The minor league outfielder they gave up is the 20th ranked Yankees prospect. Not a huge loss. vuduchile 1,941 Posted July 26, 2018 Yankees are desperate Theyre a good team, but theyre not likely to catch the Red Sox. Seattle and Oakland are also contending for wild cards

They were going to lose The OF in the rule 5 draft anyway. They have a few more prospects in the same boat, so we might see some more deals come down. edjr 5,563 Posted July 26, 2018 Thanks Captain Obvious. Just a little good-natured ribbing. next 5 years the Red Sox will be the ones looking up. Dumbo has decimated this team. He really has to go.

Big Blue 06 195 Posted July 27, 2018 Aaron Judge hit by pitch in the first inning tonight, broken bone in his wrist. Hes expected to miss 3 weeks. He injury bug has hit the Yankees pretty hard this year it seems. I know all teams go through it, but this is a big bat to lose. Fortunately, their lineup should be good enough to keep rolling. You cannot say spankees hit by injury bug pretty bad this year. Well you can but you'll be wrong. Now the Mets onthe other hand ......
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted July 28, 2018 One day game today, and that's a rainout makeup game. Baseball DGAF anymore. Agreed. This is just silly. Let the kids have a chance to see games, lower the prices and grow the next generation of fans. Bad business to just have night games. Now, in TX and FL, they shouldnt play day games in the summer. Ever.
Big Blue 06 195 Posted July 28, 2018 You cannot say spankees hit by injury bug pretty bad this year. Well you can but you'll be wrong. Now the Mets onthe other hand ...... Obviously every team deals with this throughout the year. The Mets are in a class all by themselves (in many ways). However, judge for a month, Sanchez for 2 months (at least), Gleyber Torres for a month, Tanaka for a month, Jordan Montgomery for the year, Kahnle for the year thus far (a very good reliever last year)... 3 of those guys are superstar players and tough to lose. Hardcore troubadour 12,631 Posted July 30, 2018 If the Yankees win the wildcard game they will play Boston. Houston or Cleveland gets the winner of what will probably be a long, exhausting series. If I were betting I would put some coin on the Astros getting back to the WS.
