Favorite Cheap Brand of Beer

Recommended Posts

What's your favorite cheap beer brand that you can pick up somewhere like a grocery store? Bud light? Miller light? Coors? Sam Adams?

Sam Adams isn't really cheap.

I don't drink anything cheaper than Corona.

Miller Lite is the only cheap beer I can accept. Used to be bud or Bud lite but cannot tolerate it anymore. Too sweet.

Eh it seems pretty cheap to me. Just bought a 6 pack of the winter lager and it was about $8. But I can see it being justified for not being cheap too

I'd say Miller Lite since light beer is basically all cheap beer is good for.

If I had to pick a full flavor one I'd probably go with PBR since that's what I drank in college and I'm a hipster doofus libtard (figured I'd head things off there)

I wouldn't say PBR is hipsterish. I thought it was more associated with white trash?

That's why the hipsters love it. It's ironic

If you can consider Yuengling a cheap beer I would like to change my answer.

If Sam Adams is cheap then so is Yuengling.

I've found it in the grocery store so yea I'd consider it cheap. There's certain beers you just can't find unless you go to a liquor store and those are the ones I'm talking about that aren't included in this

Really? That sucks. I know the liquor stores around here have them. Well...actually they are separated. Use the same building, run by the same people, and have the same name. But you have to go in two different doors. One side is liquor and the other side is beer and wine. But it's all one big store just with a glass wall separating them

Well that's not so bad. Most places are like that here. You rarely see a liquor store that doesn't have a beer/wine side to it here unless it's extremely small. Those places usually don't have the good stuff anyways

I don't really drink cheap beer anymore. My go to is almost anything Boulevard. If I'm going with a national brand I'd probably go Bud heavy anymore.

Did the hipsters make it taste different?

No, it still tastes like piss, but you get the added embarrassment of people thinking you're a hipster when they see you drinking it.

When did PBR change from white trash to hipster beer? I missed this transition

Early 00's... Narragansett did the same thing. Crappy beer brand bought by some Harvard grad hipsters and remarketed as non swill

Budweiser.

regular. old. Budweiser.

I actually think it's underrated.

The only people I can picture drinking Budweiser are guys with mullets, mustaches, a cigarette in one hand, budweiser in the other, Walmart brand jeans, a Dal Earnhardt t-shirt, and a bass pro snap back whose name is Rog
