What Returns are you getting trading Asiata?

For those of you who do not need another RB or had bigger needs, what are you getting from trading Asiata? Or what would you take for him? I am personally looking to trade for a WR, current AP owner has Crabtree on the bench and was entertaining this offer.

I traded Brady + Asiata to get Andrew Luck. My league scores 1 point per completion and 6pt TDs, so having a top QB is critical to winning. I was fine at RB with Forte, Joique Bell, Doug Martin, Jeremy Hill. 14-team league, so having depth is difficult.

I cant even get a WR4 like Benjamin from a team with Patterson, Welker, Cobb, Maclin and Fitzgerald, who is starting Jonathan Stewart (he lost AP even)

Saw that Asiata was traded for Edleman in one of my leagues this morning.

The problem is we had a a few starting RB's go down this week so some teams have back filled with the backups from other teams.

 

Happened to me, ready to make a deal with the AP owner but he had 2nd waiver and picked up Knile Davis. If Asiata can rattle off a few decent games and some of these other starters get back after 4 weeks or so maybe the interest picks back up????

Asiata put up some nice numbers at first glance, but had a really crappy YPC average, didn't look good at all and McKinnon is going to become more involved as time goes on.

 

I like Dobson's upside and feel Asiata has a really low ceiling.

Plus they like edelman and arent looking for anyone else to step up. They have their personell tailored to the offense they want to run. they arent like other dumb teams that try to force the issue with the wrong guys, the pats play to their strengths.

Gotta let the dust settle and let AP owners figure out what they will do now. It's hard to get decent value for him cause nobody really knows what he can do. We know he can score TD's, but his yards per carry is ridiculously bad! If he can have a really good game this week his value will obviously be a lot better. If he sputters and McKinnon takes some carries then his value goes in the toilet. Basically I think you get what you feel good about right now.

Actually it could be Edleman. I didn't buy until midway thru last season, but he does it all and IMO a bit underrated. I watched most of the NE/MIN game, and they use him every way possible in that offense, as they did Welker. He did run a couple wheel routes, one of which that was completed for nearly 40 yds. I do agree that there does need to be another guy, but Edleman is and will be the #1 in NE

He's worth more and will command more in a PPR. I'd advocate holding him as Skinny suggested. Also, as someone else pointed out, the ADP owners are still reeling. Their first rounder is gone indefinitely with his attorney saying no plea bargain. Let the dust settle and see what this guy can do.

Holding. Not everyday that a teams #1 RB falls into your lap. In his last 4 games as a starter, going back to last year. he has put up great fantasy #'s.....including one game with 3 TD's. Give the kid a chance to see if maybe he has something.

I agree with this. He may be a big slow loaf, but unless you can get great value for him, he's probably worth more to the person rostering him than anyone else. I would be happy to deal him for a solid WR2 like Crabtree or Andre Johnson, but even with AP out indefinitely, I don't think anyone's biting.

I know Thomas started slow, but i expect him up pick up a bit. Won't be using Asiata and i can't use Floyd if palmer is out. Needed to free up a spot to get Turbin.

wow well seems like you really have high expectations for DT.

That's a great trade IMO. Asiata might be in a RBBC if not lose the job to the rookie and Floyd's stock is down with Palmer sidelined.

Thanks guys. Yeah i honestly didn't expect the trade to get accepted but i threw it out there. Floyd was great the first week and could put those numbers up again but i think theres more of a chance Thomas does it more often. I now have Thomas, Julio Jones and Brandon Marshall.
