Arizona - Post David Johnson injury

Do you think Arizona will have to change it's game plan and go back to slinging the ball?

 

If so, I think that warrants an upgrade for Palmer, Fitz and likely John Brown.

 

However, as much as I have loved Palmer recently I heard he looked terrible in the game vs Detroit and m beginning to wonder if he's even capable anymore.

 

I'm just curious what everyone's thoughts are on them. Dump em all? Or Double Down on the AZ passing game?

 

I just don't see AZ winning with the running game without DJ.

I think Kerwynn Williams is better than people think.

 

But I'm also hoping that he's better than people think.

I don't think Palmer has it anymore. He's been pretty bad for a while now but I think a lot of that was covered up by the strength of the team around him including DJ.

 

So personally I'm down on Arizona now. Fitzgerald probably still has value but I'd guess that's about it. Maaaybe Brown but I think his value's tied to the overall strength of the offense

I purposefully avoided all of Arizona's offense. Had DJ magically dropped to me in any draft, sure. (Although, whew, in the end.) But I don't want a part of any of the rest of it. Maybe Fitz as a WR3/4. I don't like what I see happening there though. Particularly not now.

I'm scurred. I think Williams is solid and I'll always love Larry based on his remaining skills (routes and hands) and how much folks seem to love him. They're going to get him stats as long as he's upright.

 

But Palmer is more Carson-y and has been for a while. He's back to absurdly bad ints and he can't avoid the rushes that are coming his way. And of course, Bruce keeps putting him in situations to keep on chucking picks and getting more hit/hurt/beat up.

 

I'd like it all a lot more if JOHN BROWN could stay on the field and keep carrying defenses with him wherever he goes on plays. But of course, he's hurt again already and Jaron and JJ can't replicate what he does at the same level. On big bench leagues, I'm always stashing John Brown and hoping for the best. In smaller bench leagues, I look at him sitting on that free agent list and can't make myself pick him up again.

I'm not a zona homer/fan, so I have no emotional dog in this hunt.

However, Fitz is still capable of moving the chains and catching the RZ TD's. Palmer still has an arm. I just watched the game from last week vs Detroit.

Yeah, he was wild with his throws on some, but he can still chuck it.

 

Arians has to know he's gonna have to go back to chucking the ball in order to win.

 

I just think this could end up being a fantasy gold mine in the passing game. Otherwise I'd love to dump Palmer, Fitz and Brown right now because there are players on the wire I could grab.

 

I think I want to wait a week and see what they do to the Colts because if he can't do it vs. them, it's hot garbage.

I live in AZ but I'm not a Cardinals homer, and I'm holding onto Fitz. His physical skills have diminished a bit over the years but he's smart. He finds ways to get open. He won't post any monster games, but I think his floor remains around 60 yards and ceiling of 100 and a TD stays the same. Not a stud #1 status, but a consistent 2/3. Brown and Brown will likely post a bigger game(s) than Fitz at some point, but will lack consistency.

 

Fitz is the only one I want any part of, including the running backs.
