NK starts returning bodies of missing troops during Korean War

Recommended Posts

Even if this round of negotiations come to naught like all the other attempts to denuclearize NK, the US has probably gotten more out of Trump's attempt than the rest combined.

I dont care what president did this as long as it got done. Nothing worse than telling someone that their son/dad died but they cant recover the remains or is MIA. Those families had no closure for years. Its one of the hardest things to see when you have to go to someones house to tell them that.

Never even crossed Bush or Obamas mind. Trump is so different. And better.

That has to be some rough duty.

That has to be some rough duty.

My clinic for some reason had to keep sending people for rotation for honor guard. 3 month rotation. Before that, when I worked on the cancer ward I got tasked with accompanying the chaplain to peoples houses to let them know their family member was KIA or MIA. Had to have a medic in case they fainted, had panic atracks, etc. That and working on the cancer ward (especially both combined) was the hardest thing Ive ever done.

Yeah, this one cracked me up.

I mean, recovering the ashes alone is a good story.

The Trump lies even when he doesn't have to. He makes up this bogus little personal melodrama where he and he alone can I come flash something. Except in this case, the people allegedly asking him for help would have been about a hundred fifteen years old.😂

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit on this one. If you notice, the picture used in that article is almost exactly one year old.

Now, the truth.

Still, they've been on this roller coaster before, so they are hedging their bets. And U.S. officials across the government quietly acknowledged that so far no remains have been turned over to the U.S. from the North since Trump's historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

As of Friday, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency had not received any new remains, according to spokesman Chuck Pritchard. The last time North Korea turned over remains was in 2007.

its a simple mistake, maybe he was talking to the kids of those parents who they wanted home, maybe he was talking to parents of Vietnam Vets who wanted their kids home

bottom line who cares what he says, when what he does is good

" thousands and thousands" and he made the same identical mistake every single time? Yeah. And he just happen to make this mistake with regard to a trip he made to see the North Korean leader? Because Trump doesn't know the difference between North Korea and Vietnam? Is that really what you're going with?

It turns out the South Koreans had already negotiated this. Much like the majority of this entire process. But they're more than happy to let Trump take the credit.

So then Trump does what Trump does. He takes a little kernel of potential truth and plays Herodotus with it until he is some Golden Warrior astride his mighty steed and thousands and thousands of desperate people raise up their plaintive voices to him where only he , the great orange hero can answer their prayers.

----------

Dude, how about something like,

...one of the side benefits of this meeting is that we hope very shortly to begin receiving the remains of our brave warriors who were left behind in North Korean soil. We remain cautiously optimistic and hopeful that the camera Jim will live up to its word.

See? easy

But this guy trying to take a dump without turning it into an epic that only Ayn Rand and Ulysses himself could appreciate.

Btw kids, Pompeo was being grilled by the Senate yesterday and was specifically cornered on whether or not any remains had been returned yet. His answer was categorically no. He was asked the question more than once.

The first time I posted about this, the so-called new source was posting a picture from well in the past. Now we have our own Secretary of State saying it just hasn't happened yet folks. But I'm hopeful that...

That was yesterday.

Mike Pompeo says North Korea has not yet turned over suspected remains of U.S. soldiers killed during the Korean War.

Thats despite President Donald Trumps assertion that North Korea has either turned some remains over or is in the process of doing so following his summit with Kim Jong Un in Singapore earlier this month.

Pompeo told the Senate Appropriations Committee on Wednesday he is optimistic that the U.S. will receive some remains in the not-too-distant future. But, he added: We have not yet physically received them.

This is yet again another lie from Trump. I could see the first time, but he's obviously lying about this. Even best case scenario? He doesn't care enough to get the facts right on something like this? Bullshit.

Yep, still nothing. You guys really like it when Trump lies about our soldiers remains? This guy is such a hard-ass negotiator, why isn't he on the phone saying where the fuuck are these guys? Instead, the world's laughing at how North Korea got everything and we got diddly .

https://www.nknews.org/2018/07/u-s-a-f-cargo-plane-left-pyongyang-on-saturday-morning-flight-purpose-unknown/

The unusually early 04.13am departure of the flight means it would have likely left Pyongyang without other passengers seeing the aircraft or any potential cargo being loaded or unloaded, the first scheduled flight on Saturday not leaving until 08.50am.

The flight time also means its unlikely the airlifter would have gone to Pyongyang to directly support on-the-ground activities for Pompeos trip for example, to transport VIP vehicles for his use because his trip continued nearly 12 hours further on Saturday.

In terms of capacity, the stretch-modified C-130J-30 can carry either passengers up to 128 combat-equipped troops or cargo a maximum of eight 463L pallets according to the Air Force Technology website.

That would likely be sufficient to fly out the remains of prisoners of war (POWs) or those missing in action (MIA) from the Korean War, a step that was a key part of the recent Singapore Summit agreement between the U.S. and North Korea.

By now one would hope you have learned what fake news is, the MSM has literally got nothing correct in 2 + years.

Maybe there is nothing on that plane.

At this point though North Korea News has more credibility than CNN or MSLSD.

Fake news is when Trump claimed he already had them on their way back...and people here started a thread about it whining for Trump to get credit...then every source including his Secretary of State said it hadn't happened.

Or when Trum claimed they were no longer a nuclear threat...and now what?

Yeah...keep trying.
