Just watched a dominating gold medal performance in pairs figure skating by the German couple. Sports where an expert panel of judges determines the results are difficult because we don't see the problems the judges see unless somebody falls down. Anyway my wife and I were already in awe of the German couple as the results were being tabulated and our opinion was confirmed when the Chinese announcers told us the routine we had just witnessed had netted the highest score in Olympic history.

My favorite part of the Mens figure skating is when the crowd throws all those teddy bears and Winnie the Poo stuffed animals on the ice after a great performance.

Kudos to that Chen dood for throwing out 6 quads (landing 5 cleanly) after gacking on the short program. Go big or go home; he went from 17th to almost making the podium. Murica!
