thekman 0 Posted August 13, 2006 8 team league Start 2QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2RB/WR/TE, 1K; 9 players on the bench I had the 1st pick player (round taken) QB Jake Delhomme (6) Trent Green (9) Steve McNair (13) RB Larry Johnson (1) Warrick Dunn (4) Fred Taylor (10) Cedric Benson (11) Michael Bennet (16) Samkon Gado (17) WR Torry Holt (2) Steve Smith (3) Chris Chambers (5) Rod Smith (8) Lavernius Coles (12) David Givens (18) Reche Caldwell (20) TE Jeremy Shockey (7) Ben Watson (14) K Mike Vanderjagt (15) Jason Elam (19) Notes about the draft: i was suprised when both smith and holt were stil available at my 2nd and 3rd round picks (16th and 17th overall). For some reason, d. davis and eli manning were drafted in the 2nd. In fact, the guys drafting 5th and 6th in the 2nd round grabbed jackson and Lamont Jordan. Both my kickers were drafted earlier than most, Elam at 19.1 was the 5th kicker drafted, he was followed by 5 or 6 consecutive kickers picked. My questions: 1) Should i be worried about my RB situation after Larry? or will i be able to get enough out of Dunn, Taylor, Benson and Gado to have 2 of them start every week. 2) I've been offered Chester Taylor for Chris Chambers straight up. Should I be making this trade just to shore up my RB stable? Or stand Pat and plan to start 5 WR's most weeks. 3) I only drafted 3 QB's while most others drafted 4. Should I be worried about lack of depth at QB or and Delhomme and Green consistent enough? Thanks for spending your time
coltsfan2 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Pretty good team, I think Delhomme is going to have a big year with the addition of K. Johnson. Your RB's do look a little weak after L. Johnson. I like Chambers this year but I think C. Taylor could have a breakout year. I would probably take the trade since you already have Smith & Holt. Good Luck
