I just spewed beer all over the monitor. I hate OSU too, and that shiat is funny!!!!

I had him last year in a league that does NOT subtract points for turnovers (INT/fumbles lost) so he worked out very well for me. He did struggle down the stretch, but I was pleased with him as my #1. For the reasons above, no way in hell do i think he goes over 4000 yds. again. With Martz gone, they will probably not throw as much. A one and done season for me with Kitna as my #1. I'd snag him in the 10th or 11th as a backup though.

I think this was a grrrreat job and pretty courageous. Good luck! Now I see what you mean about the bye weeks: Bye Week NFL Team 4 Detroit, Indianapolis, Miami, New England, NY Giants, Seattle

That is an interesting comment. I looked up some information for all 3: Tomlinson DOB 6/23/1979 2,365 rushing attempts/458 receptions = 2,823 touches Lewis DOB 8/26/1979 2,120 rushing attempts/190 receptions = 2,310 touches Westbrook DOB 9/02/1979 1,014 rushing attempts/347 receptions = 1,361 touches I always assumed that Lewis had so much more activity and wear & tear on him than LT or Westbrook. You know what happens when you assume .

I agree with this completely. I have never done an auction draft so I cannot comment on past experience. I do know I am a huge Chargers fan and I'd probably spend 3/4 of my cap money to get LT. Thus, I would not have much money for the rest of my team. In a snake draft, for me the personal emotion is taken out of it. If I get the #9 pick I certainly won't land LT and that is just the way it is. I will just need to look at my list and select the best value player at #9, and every pick thereafter. You can draft a great team regardless of draft position and as a previous poster said the season is usually won AFTER the first 4 or 5 rounds, not the first 3.

I agree, he's on my radar as well!

Thinking of Going WR/WR With The First Two Picks
tdubya replied to BunnysBastatrds's topic in FFToday Board
I tried it last year picking 12th in a 12 teamer and chose Torry Holt & Marvin Harrison (Steve Smith was chosen at 10). I came back with Thomas Jones and Brandon Jacobs at the end of the 3rd round. Needless to say I had a miserable year with the injuries to Harrison and Jacobs. I am thinking of going the same route this year if my pick is late in the first. Looking back on it I don't think the strategy was flawed, but my selection of Harrison was probably not the best, and injuries got me as well. If I had to do it again, I'd go Moss and Owens and I would've fared much better. I certainly think it can be done and done well. Especially with all the pairity at RB after about the first 4 or 5 are off the board. -
Is it safe to assume that EVERYONE on this board would prefer Branch over Evans
tdubya replied to robertd52's topic in FFToday Board
I just dropped his ass to pick up Reggie Brown. Did I overreact, probably. I had him in my lineup and lost by 15 while Braylon Edwards was on my bench and scored 20. I am 1-1 and drafted Evans in the 6th. Will I regret it, probably. But I regretted the pick when I made it and it was confirmed the first two weeks. See ya! My starters are: Jon Kitna Joseph Addai Ahman Green Chad Johnson Reggie Wayne Braylon Edwards Jason Witten David Akers Chargers, Team Defense Bench: Jay Cutler Matt Schaub Tatum Bell Michael Turner Derrick Ward Reggie Brown -
In your Opinion... Does this tarnish Belichick's and The Pats' Dynasty
tdubya replied to RamslovaMartzhata's topic in FFToday Board
I don't know if anyone has posted this link yet but it is pretty funny. Obviously this guy think it tarnishes the Patriots image. Shady Brady and Bill Belicheat Enjoy! -
Guy before me in the 5th took McNabb. I took Kitna with the next pick. Everyone in the league said "Good luck with that one!" I espcially love the guy who took Brees in the 2nd who gave me $hit for taking Kitna. He is also a Raiders fan!

Yes, very worried. The team looked like shiat after he went down. Also, a Holt owner!
-
I picked from the 12th spot and went Harrison then Holt. We only need to play 1 RB (although the flex spot can be RB/WR). I then took Thomas Jones at the end of the 3rd and McNabb to start the 4th. I got Brandon Jacobs at the end of the 5th and Ahman Green in the 6th. My other two WR's are Chambers and Derrick Bowe. It was risky but by taking two WR's I basically started the WR run that continued through the second and third rounds. I like having TJ/Jacobs/Harrison/Holt instead of having Willie Parker/TJ/Harrison/Houshmanzadeh. Just my 2 cents!

I went SJax with the 3rd pick (Manning went 2nd) and then went CJ and Steve Smith. Took McNabb and then Thomas Jones and Marshawn Lynch. QB Mcnabb (4), Romo (10) RB SJ (1), TJ (5), Lynch (6), DeAngelo Williams (9), Brandon Jackson (12) WR CJ (2), SS (3), Andre Johnson (8), Darrell Jackson (11), Gregg Jennings (15) TE Zach Miller (14) (ASU homer) K Wilkins (13) DEF Bears (7) This is a 10 teamer and I am pretty happy with the 3rd pick.

I had the #3 pick and the knucklehead at 2 picked Peyton. So I went Steven Jackson, CJ, and Steve Smith. Followed up with McNabb in the 4th and Thomas Jones & Marshawn Lynch in the 5th & 6th. Started the run on DEF with the Bears in the 7th. Feel pretty solid with my team.
