#6309715 Pick up TJ Yeldon?

Posted by polecatt on 15 September 2018 - 08:36 AM

You could look at it this way,

Fournette is Arian Foster

Yeldon is Ben Tate,

The situation it very similar

#6309525 Pick up TJ Yeldon?

Posted by polecatt on 14 September 2018 - 09:39 PM

I think he's worth picking up

Fournette is an absolute stud and Yeldon is no threat to him when he can play.

However, Fournette seems to be a lock to miss 2-4 games or so a season. When he does Yeldon immediately jumps into a solid RB2 spot.

Most other weeks he is going to put flex numbers or close to it.

He's worth keeping on the end of your bench for a potential boost to your line up any given week.

#6294653 Pick 3, due in 12 hours! Help!

I would take McCaffrey, and Henry for sure, not a bad RB combo

After that probably Gordon due to his huge potential

#6294139 My Frustrating Draft

It's not a bad team although you may have some trouble settling in at RB outside of Gordon. That's pretty normal though in a 12 team.

Make good WW pick ups and such as that and you can contend.

#6293220 What you learned from your draft

Now being stoned at a draft...

That's different, lol

#6273403 RB Wisdom

I would definitely go Mixon in your situation.

I believe he has RB1 potential and I don't think McKinnon does.

Even if MCKinnon has a better season I don't think it will be monumental and he probably won't be a keeper. He's had his shot over the past couple of seasons and hasn't panned out too much.

Not to say he won't be good in SF but I just don't see the same kind of upside as with Mixon.

If Mixon blows up you will regret if years to come.

#6167458 Strategy in Drafting Your Team

Posted by polecatt on 22 February 2018 - 09:43 PM

I do a lot of mock drafts usually and have a general idea of who I'm going to take and when.

Then it all goes to crap because It never fails that my real draft goes completely different than mock drafts.

I don't try to pick positions before hand.

#6132527 Need Input on Resetting of My Keeper League

Posted by polecatt on 18 January 2018 - 02:22 PM

I am in a few keeper leagues and we keep anything from 5 to10 minimum. Some they cost extra, $5 a keeper over the 5 limit, and some it doesn't cost a thing.

In each of them we just start the draft off each season with the first round being the teams that kept the least amount of players.

In other words if you keep players over the minimum you don't get a first round pick, 2nd round pick if 2 over, etc.

Most owners keep the minimum so they won't lose out on early round picks but there are always one or two that keep a couple of extra.

It works well for us in all leagues. No major complaints or issues have arose from this after several seasons in each league.

I find it helps balance it out between the owners who have bad teams vs good teams. It speeds up the rebuilding for the bad teams and allows the good teams to keep their's intact.

#6063523 M. Bryant.. worth holding on to ?

Posted by polecatt on 28 October 2017 - 09:04 AM

I would say the ship has sailed on Martavis

He's in the Josh Gordon, Justin Blackmon group, tons of talent but no brains to go with it

#6057711 Worst first pick ever......................

Posted by polecatt on 21 October 2017 - 12:31 AM

Was at a live draft years ago where a guy took Al Del Greco at 1.1. No joke....we still talk about it every year.

In one of my leagues a few years back two owners bet and the loser had to take a kicker with his first rounder, Adam Vinatieri

#6052968 Jordy - Rest of the Way

Posted by polecatt on 15 October 2017 - 10:06 PM

Clearly Jordy's stock will take quite a hit. He was in the top tier with Rodgers in the line up as far as I'm concerned.

While it's certain that Jordy benefits a great deal from having one of the top 2-3 QBs throwing to him, let's not overlook his talent as a WR.

He will fall to the 2nd tier but he's still a better WR than most in the NFL.

If you have him on your team I believe you still have to start him each week.

Green Bay has a great offensive system built around the pass and that won't change.

They have had back up QBs do pretty well in the past when Rodgers was out.

#6033415 They kneeled for the National Anthem and stood for the Brit anthem.

Posted by polecatt on 24 September 2017 - 08:34 AM

Most likely. I wonder what these players know about the political landscape and some of the controversial things going on over in England? They should all be experts since they chose to stand for their anthem. I bet most don't even vote here.

Well, the fact that they would stand for the British anthem and not the American one clearly shows they don't know anything about history
