Why are kids movies so damn long?

Recommended Posts

Took my son to a 4:05 showing of Incredibles 2 yesterday. There were easily 10 previous plus commercials, followed by a brief (10-15 min) mini film before the feature. By the time the actual movie we cane to see went on it was 4:45. Then the movie was 2 hours.

I think Hollywood is seriously overestimating the attention span of the typical Disney audience. :dunno:

I agree, it will probably flop.

The only time it matters is if you need to get there early to get decent seats. Otherwise, you know there's going to be a butt load of previews, especially for one of the most anticipated kids movies of all time. Oh and the movie was pretty solid

It was okay. I didnt need the stupid mini movie and I2 could have been 15-20 minutes shorter.

Uh oh.

I don't know what Elastigirl looks like so I did a search and, well, I leave my safesearch off, and yahoo images gave me stuff I don't want my kids seeing if they ever did a search for Elastigirl.

Dammit all.... I don't want to turn my safesearch off and on all the time.

My oldest is eleven, I probably should. She'd be capable of doing search for elastigirl.

She should really be called elASStigirl.

I know I posted here about her fine figure when the first movie came out years ago.

In this sequel her ass was prominently featured throughout.

I couldnt take my eyes off it.

It was a thing in the first movie, but this time its just out there. I mean REALLY out there.

Its worth the price of admission.

Probably more noticeable because of the increased screen time for Elastigirl...

As I mentioned, I was hot for her when I saw the original.

The sequel has me contemplating actually whipping it out and wanking while watching it.

These Disney "kids" movies are not made for kids anymore.

You know somebody's done their homework. Like some kind of survey where adults say they would pay ex dollars for a movie as long as its 3 hours long.

I find most first run movies these days to have a solid 25 minutes of editable material. And that doesn't even count the previews and commercials.
