I think in big cities it is extremely rare almost non-existence but in suburban areas and smaller rural areas I don't think it is uncommon for a pretty 25 y/o to only have 4 or 5 partners. Some women are extremely picky and/or only date guys that are their boyfriends.

KOSI 101.1 announced Tuesday that the 1944 jingle “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” will return to the station’s 24/7 holiday music lineup after they joined other radio stations across the country and pulled the song after listener complaints.

 

Some listeners objected to the lyrics, suggesting the song pushes the line of consent and is inappropriate in the age of the #MeToo movement.

 

The Denver radio station made the decision to place the popular song, written Frank Loesser, back into its daily rotation after an online poll, which the station said listeners overwhelmingly were in favor of the holiday classic returning to the air.

 

“We value the opinion of all our listeners and appreciate the feedback we received,” said KOSI 101.1 Program Director, Jim Lawson in a media release. “Respondents voted 95 percent in favor of us keeping the song. Im not a big rap / hip hop listener, but its pretty diverse as a genre and a lot of it doesnt glorify violence, crime or misogyny at all. Calling all rap trash is like calling all metal or rock trash.

Regarding rappers and their defenders calling it art, I have to agree. A rapper might sing about banging a corpse, but that doesn't automatically mean he personally wants to do so.

 

Hannibal Lecter books and movies were pretty popular, but we don't automatically assume the author wants to eat somebody.

 

I don't care for any of the above, so I don't buy it, listen to it or watch it. To each their own.

No, it is wrong to dictate to others what they can listen to. if the radio station chooses not to play the song, and it bothers you enough, go find another station that does not limit what you can listen to.

 

If you do not like the song, and a station is playing it, listen to something else.

 

That seems like the simple answer, of course what is really at play here is that Maoist/Socialist behavior, the actions themselves are deeply disturbing and should not be accepted on their face. There SHOULD be a voice that calls out the action itself for what it is....
