KSB2424 3,082 Posted April 20, 2017 It's over. Just reading this makes me nauseous. http://www.golfchannel.com/news/golf-central-blog/woods-undergoes-fourth-back-surgery/ Woods had a "minimally invasive" anterior lumbar interbody fusion between his L5 and S1 vertebrae, a procedure that entailed removing a damaged disc and "re-elevating" another disc which was collapsed. The surgery was performed by Dr. Richard Guyer at the Texas Back Institute. "The surgery went well, and I'm optimistic this will relieve my back spasms and pain," Woods said. "When healed, I look forward to getting back to a normal life, playing with my kids, competing in professional golf and living without the pain I have been battling so long." He list's playing golf last on his wish list; which he should. But that means its a stretch goal. Dude just wants to walk and sit and play with his kids without pain at this point. :sadbanana:
Cruzer 1,992 Posted April 20, 2017 If this was such a minimal surgery - why didn't he have this done a long time ago?
drobeski 3,061 Posted April 20, 2017 Hope they are able to fix it this time. Would be great if he could compete again one day. I've had the same surgery, multiple times. Tough on the golf game.
