desertfire 4 Posted September 12, 2017 Mark Ingram is clearly the best RB on team and Sean Peyton is absolutely killing the Saints running game by rotating all these backs. Anyone who's ever played football knows that many times it take a RB consistent carries to get into a groove. Peyton is hurting his team.......and NO i am NOT an Ingram owner or a Saints fan

He's an ok coach. Nothing special. His ignoring of Brandin Cooks and all the mediocre finishes are evidence enough
Law 220 Posted September 12, 2017 Payton is a classic example of someone being good once and forever getting credit for it, despite the best evidence to the contrary.
james00 4 Posted September 12, 2017 Payton really screwed his team by calling those timeouts before half. The defense was already playing bad. He should of went to half and regrouped.
weepaws 2,451 Posted September 12, 2017 I would agree, Ingram is the best Rb at this time on the Saints. And Kamara is second best. Peterson has seen better days.

Law 220 Posted September 12, 2017 I think it's called "Jeff Fisher disease". Fisher might be THE source, but Payton is definitely a carrier! I actually think Fisher had pictures of someone with farm animals. No other way to explain his career.

I think what he was doing was giving everyone a fair shot at EARNING their playing time. the performers play more, the non performers play less. I wouldnt worry too much about it.....in the end, the cream always rises to the top.
thePRO 78 Posted September 13, 2017 He's also a little bish. The one thing I couldn't have was 4 FGs by Lutz to beat me. You're down 17 and inside the 5 yard line for the 3rd time and you decided to kick the FG and expect to score 14 more points in the final 8 minutes? Go for it you big F Face. Can you tell I lost to Lutz?
Maulers1973 117 Posted September 13, 2017 I actually like Coach Sean Peyton, and I think he's a great coach. He's agressive, and that doesn't always work out for him. I'd rather a coach be aggressive and unpredictable rather than stale and vanilla. Fisher is stale and vanilla. Peyton goes for it! When you need 3 scores to win and you're in scoring position you take the points so long as there is time to get the ball back.

Vikings offense was controlling the ball and TOP. Down 26-9, they were in great scoring position. You're right that they still woulda needed 2 scores either way. But 2 TDs by the time they got the ball back seems like a tough deal.

jimaveli 119 Posted September 13, 2017 At worst, he's Super Fisher, but it HAS been a loooong time since the Saints have been for real good. Some of it is Drew occasionally being pretty bad (not stats but situational play). More of it is Drew getting paid and the oline never being fully refurbished. But Payton is far too cute with the personnel packages and usage sometimes. The Pats will Madden-style money play you to death if they figure out you can't stop something. It's great to watch. On the other hand, Payton will go full Andy Reid sometimes and go away from things that are working just to be cute. It's a pain to watch.
Mr Neil 63 Posted September 14, 2017 I'm trying to figure out whether to start Ingram v Kamara vs pats. Rolling Kamara right now bc they will be down by double digits in second quarter and Kamara is the passing down back
Maulers1973 117 Posted September 14, 2017 Vegas is expecting a shoot out. Brees at home is usually money, but is he without BOTH starting Tackles? I can see Belichek taking advantage of that, even though the Pats have no pass rushers. He'll find someone! Brady should bounce back from last week's terrible outing. Pats 35 - 31. Hardcore troubadour 12,576 Posted September 14, 2017 He's the next Jeff Fisher. Shouldn't Marvin Lewis be the next Jeff Fisher? He probably should have been the first JF, before JF. Zero playoff wins in 14 years? And his team is constantly at the top of the penalty list, including personal fouls? Cincy has had plenty of talent. I know this because his players are always being drafted in fantasy, and so is his defense.
TBayXXXVII 2,105 Posted September 14, 2017 Peyton has a SB ring. So does Jon Gruden. What's your point? Fisher had 4 years (over a 5 year span where he won 11 games or more... and went to one Super Bowl. After that... blah (although, he did have 2 seasons where he won 10 then 13 - then never had a winning record). Peyton had 4 years where he won 11 games or more (winning), one Super Bowl... then blah. He hasn't had a winning season since. After this year, he'll have 4 straight losing seasons. Hardcore troubadour 12,576 Posted September 14, 2017 AP didn't look that bad. You would think other teams like the Cardinals or the Redskins would work a deal.
Ray_T 587 Posted September 15, 2017 AP didn't look that bad. You would think other teams like the Cardinals or the Redskins would work a deal. It is tough to justify paying market value for a RB on the wrong side of 30. If they can get him for a 7th round pick they may buy, but I suspect that is not the asking price.
