Brutal Brutus 182 Posted September 17, 2017 Penn State has played one of the easiest schedules so far. I wouldn't put much into his stats yet. He looks good, but not so special that I'm counting down the days for my chance to draft him. Like all running backs, his value will still be heavily influenced by his landing spot. Bobbyn2022 53 Posted September 17, 2017 anyone think he'll be better than Elliot,Fournette and Gurley? Man the RBs these last couple years have been insane. Might be the best ever. Hunt,Elliot,Mixion,Cook,Fournette,Carson,Cohen,Howard,Mcaffery,Coleman...Jesus!!!
Gratefulegg1973 253 Posted September 17, 2017 I think he'll be great, but PSU rb's have a long history of busting in the NFL. I remember burning a 1st round pick on Kijana Carter years ago. Barkley is awesome though

mark32esu 18 Posted September 17, 2017 Been watching PSU football for a loooooong time and haven't seen a back like this, well, ever. Even in all of the Big 10. His combo of speed & power is crazy. If he falls into a situation in the NFL similar to Elliot did, he may rewrite some record books. I am also pushing to get him nicknamed Saquon the chef, but many of the younger types don't get the reference.
jaxjag 43 Posted September 17, 2017 Major injuries before the season and in week one.... Lost the first game and go into week two with an inferior line-up. I know I could grind out the season and possibly make the play-offs (6 of 12). Then, its a short run to a potential championship. However, a lot could go wrong and one possibility is an early play-off exit and a 8+ draft slot next season. Don't see this team as so bad that it will win just a game or two so another possibility is a 3-6 pick. So, it is extraordinarily early but "tanking" is an option as the first pick can be a franchise changer. Also, no serpentine so its another "early" pick at 2.01. Never tanked a season and not inclined to set less than my best line-up. Time to trade productive veterans that may not be a big part of my team in a year or two? Stockpile some 1sts and have ammo to move around in the draft.

Especially when byes come. I won't tank on purpose but I may start looking at youth movement and acquiring picks as teams start playoff run.
JediMaster 20 Posted September 17, 2017 No such thing as tanking. 12 team dynasty league. Top 6 make playoffs, bottom 6 are in toilet bowl. Winner of toilet bowl gets number 1 pick. If you want #1 pick, better be a good team that barely misses the playoffs (7th place) and roll through the toilet bowl or be the worst (12th place), get the bye and get a lucky 2 game winning streak to win the #1 pick. murf74 461 Posted September 24, 2017 Anyone watch this freak show last night? Hes not fair. Yes. Defies many laws of physics. I jut hope he doesn't end up in a sucky NFL situation. That awful fake turf....I was holding my breath he didn't get hurt. It literally kept him from having an even more dominant game. It's Iowa you can't grow grass? BobSanders_33 127 Posted September 24, 2017 Anyone watch this freak show last night? Hes not fair. I was at that freak show last night. JFC. 40 touches. I'm an Iowa fan and so many times we had him in the backfield or against the sideline and boom he jukes the tackle and makes a nice gain. He can do it all. Reminds me a lot of Lev Bell in the way that he can start/stop/start and with his ability to catch the ball. He is also seems like a quality human and less of a risk than guys long term like Zeke/Mixon/Cook. If you get him with the 49ers next year you have a long term top 10 RB. Niners are one of the teams in need of a QB in a draft with 3 or 4 awesome QB prospects. I'd be shocked if they take a running back. Especially since Carlos Hyde is a very good RB in his own right.
