wiffleball 4,631 Posted March 23, 2018 I really like John Goodman, but he's lost a lot of respect in my eyes for coming back to this shitshow. I'm assuming he's doing it out of gratitude because he was by far the most successful thing to come out of that crappy show. Still, I hope this thing crashes and burns hard. But if it does? Then Rosanna will automatically blame it on the fact that she's apparently a trump fan. No, you're a fat hideous unfunny untalented ass clown.
NorthernVike 2,079 Posted March 23, 2018 It's going to take more than the staff at ABC to push that fat biotch.
Cruzer 1,992 Posted March 23, 2018 Was a great show.........back then. They are going to ruin it now by stretching it too thin - should of left it alone.

wiffleball 4,631 Posted March 23, 2018 She got the job during that weird era in the 90s when Seinfeld was around. Any comedian who could stretch together 5 minutes at Elaine's was instantly handed TV production deal. Remember Rhett Butler? Grace under Fire? Of course you don't. Hell, even Emeril Lagasse got a show. The only thing that saved her was she had a couple of top notch oscar-worthy actors playing alongside her. She was is and always will be an unlikeable unfunny hideous .

MDC 5,875 Posted March 23, 2018 I liked the Rosanne show in the 90s. There was no need to revisit this at all.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted March 23, 2018 For a show that was excellent, but then ended like a trainwreck, I think there is room to correct that final couple of seasons. I would watch.
Strike 3,940 Posted March 23, 2018 Remember Rhett Butler? Grace under Fire? Of course you don't. Hell, even Emeril Lagasse got a show. Actually I do. Would. And her name is Brett Butler, not Rhett.
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted March 23, 2018 Actually I do. Would. And her name is Brett Butler, not Rhett. Yeah, Rhett is the guy from gone with the wind. The last couple of seasons of the original Roseanne sucked. Otherwise a great show. Hope they can bring back the good. Hopefully aunt Jackie and the annoying dyke grandma arent back. Those two were annoying. But Sarah chalke back as Becky I would be fine with.

Vince44 202 Posted March 25, 2018 Great show. Great characters. The final season when the Connors won the lottery was AWFUL but those first eight seasons were awesome. I will be watching on Tuesday.

shotsup 830 Posted March 25, 2018 Great show. Great characters. The final season when the Connors won the lottery was AWFUL . I was just going to ask - didn't they win the lottery and Goodman died ? Was the season about winning the lottery or they won in final episode?

Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted March 25, 2018 I think they have some good writers (Whitney Cummings, Wanda Sykes, Norm McDonald) working on it. I may give it a chance.
bandrus1 413 Posted March 25, 2018 I was just going to ask - didn't they win the lottery and Goodman died ? Was the season about winning the lottery or they won in final episode? They played it like it was real but the last episode was Rosanne writing at her desk in the room Dan made for her to write in. The lottery thing was her writing a story and Dan had died years before. titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted March 28, 2018 Never cared for the show. White trash isn't funny. I think it worked because it was one of the few sitcoms where the family had real problems. Money problems. Kids getting pregnant. Real life. It wasnt 30 minutes and a happy resolution.

SenatorRock 708 Posted March 28, 2018 Saw the first episode, thought it was funny. Humor really is a common bond that unites. They did a good job of making fun of both sides, a rare thing in today's comedy television. Most of the characters look like they have barely aged. Odd seeing the awful daughter from Shameless, she appears to be playing the same role. Wiff looked cute in his unicorn sweatshirt.
Mungwater 588 Posted March 28, 2018 Jesus, had more of a laugh track than Big Bang theory and 2.5 men combined. What a shitshow
supermike80 1,284 Posted March 28, 2018 Didn't really like it. Roseanne seemed off on her timing for most of her jokes. Sick of politics in EVERYTHING.....Really gets old..Regardless of which side is trying to be spun(even though Roseanne spun both sides) I mean can we have anything anymore that doesn't have politics meshed into it? Sports, movies, TV....where do you go for a break from all of that. Oh and let's see. Their son has a black daughter, their one daughter has what--2 kids out of wedlock and is a lesbian....and NOW Dan is peeved cause Becky wants to have a surrogate? NOW he puts his foot down. That whole premise felt forced and idiotic. Laughed at a few of the jokes, thought they were OK. Most fell flat. Don't think it was a laugh track, said filmed in front of a live studio audience, which these days could be a little worse. So probably not gonna tune in for any future shows, or maybe if it's on I might catch it but not gonna DVR it. Do like the return of will and grace though. Reality 2,710 Posted March 28, 2018 Jesus, had more of a laugh track than Big Bang theory and 2.5 men combined. What a shitshow Pretty sure it's a live audience for this one. The wife and I really enjoyed it, thought it was well done for what it is. The nostalgia of the whole thing was great.
