But still, dude is s citizen of another country, goes to yet another country to enter yet another country's embassy.

And it's front page news 3 days running?

So many things we could compare this to.

The WaPo has dictated the flow of this story. Been FP here for weeks.

“We’ve fulfilled far more promises than we’ve promised,” the president said. “I call it promises plus.”

Killing a journalist is considered a higher transgression, mostly among other journalists, but they have the loudest voice.

I am a little surprised the media isn't using this situation as a bludgeon on Trump, this is the perfect situation to pretend that he is the cause of journalist mistreatment, they are letting us down here...no manipulation?  What are they distracted?

It's all fun and games..for us. We have no real dog in the fight. He was not a citizen.

For the Saudis it looks terrible. They keep trying to push this image they are not savages and it turns out they really are. No matter how much they want the world to believe otherwise

For the Turks. They are never gonna forget. Ever. Their soil was used to set a trap and kill. Then they were lied to about it and forced to probably divulge some sources of data collection they did not want to. The iPhone claim is an obvious lie. Whoever out the story out did not know the functions of that phone.

The Turks ARE very likely to take this personally and to assassinate someone the Saudis hold dear. ..and leave obvious footprints behind.
Its still not a hummingbird.

I don't see much we can do here that will benefit us.  If we sanction SA that will just push them into the waiting arms of China and Russia.  To save face it looks like they might admit it was rogue agents acting against the kingdoms will who caused his death.

There is talk Russia wants to build a military base in Tabuk and if sanctioned the Saudis might give it the go ahead.

There's a million things at play here and it might be good for once for the US media to stop trying to stir up more ######.

As I have said many times on this board here before, it is the Saudis, not the Chinese nor anyone else, that holds the Ultimate Sword of Damocles for the United States.

All they have to do is start pricing their oil in the Yuan and not the dollar. And we are supremely fuked.

Of course, the only thing keeping the entire house of Saud from being dragged out and hung by the rest of the population is American Firepower and backing. About the only thing that Iran and Israel agree to is that they would love nothing more than to string every one of those fuckers up. That's why the new guy is cracking down so hard on corruption in-house.

When the MSM goes all in on a story with little or no evidence, be assured it's most likely bullsh!t to frame a narrative.

Same with Kavanaugh.

We're supposed to believe the Saudi Intelligence force kill a guy in the only place they (and only they) can implicated?

When people start questioning that, then they roll out 'he was beinterrogated'. I'll believe it when an actual Saudi official admits it.

BBC for the most part is pretty damn good.

Fantastic. Shockingly, the president is too much of a ###### to chastise a despot. And then he lied about having investigators on the scene. Turns out the FBI I had to turn around say no we're not. Jesus, is there anything this guy doesn't lie about? Is there any dictator that he doesn't suck off?

Trump does not follow the rules we associate with standard political gamesmanship.   He emphasizes measurable outcomes over posturing.

Right, so this contradicts that he died 'during interrogation'.

The whole story is suspicious as fock but people believe it because the MSM is reporting it. Just like the Russia narrative, etc.

Yeah; no physical proof other than an audio of the supposed murder. They identified guys immediately as Saudi hit squad, and it's IMMEDIATELY broadcast across all MSM at the same time as well as demands for the Trump administration to sanction the Saudis. No demand for investigations but sanctions immediately. Enough gruesome details to pique the interest yet no physical proof other than what Turkey is saying happened.

So the guy is screaming for several minutes as he's cut up during the interrogation but it doesn't spur anyone from the consulate's security staff to investigate?

The democrats care more about a Saudi national being killed in a foreign country than they did about an Ambassador and American civilians being killed at our embassy annex in Benghazi.

Just like Ford vs Kavanaugh; YES.

The same MSM won't cover the biggest criminal activity in American history (the FISA spying, Fusion GPS, DNC/HRC/BHO all implicated) yet they'll go all in based solely on a dubious story put out by a foreign govt.
